Ye be warned: this deck is extremely tortuos. Anyway, the deck is a freeze quest mage that exploits new cards such as Vargoth and Ray of Frost. During the period of theorycrafting, the community was not so sure about the interaction between Vargoth and the quest. Turns out it works in the best way possible.

 

Now, for the combos: there are a lot, I will show here just the basic ones, from which all the “mixed combos” can be generated.

First one (which is also the usual one): double giant, echo of Medivh and the quest. Nine mana, 32 damage, extra turn with plenty of mana.

Second one: Vargoth, quest, Alexstrasza, frostbolt. The mana is distributed over the three turns, althoug the third turn is almost mana-free. Total of 30 damage. Frostbolt also helps with the freezing against Kingsbane.

Third one: double giant, quest, Alexstrasza. Mana intensive, total of 31 damage.

Feel free to mix them up. Examples include using Vargoth and two giants, or one giant plus echo. Talking about Vargoth and echos, a nice combo on turn 8 is to play Vargoth, one (or two) giant(s) and then echo od Medivh. This nets one Vargoth in play, two Vargoths in hand, at least two giants in play and at least two giants in hand.

Let’s talk about the tech cards: Frostbolt has already been explained. I found Alexstrasza to be extremely important in high legend games, against priests and druids. Tip: against priest, use the bananas on the 1/1 they summon with Barnes, and then stall the board (if the 1/1 is not Ragnaros or Y’sharhahrahshrhj). Polymorph: Boar is there against problematic taunts and against Big Priests a.k.a. “Cancers”, or maybe for an extra four damage.
