General Mulligans

Master Oakheart is a 100% keep for me at any time. If you manage to pull this in your opening hand just survive and you will have a very high chance of winning. The other cards i keep vary depending on what Class I'm playing against. Against classes that normally run tempo or control i just try to draw and armor up as much as i can, for classes that run aggro decks i will also provide a list of mulligans there.

Aggro Mulligans

You can see the different types of removal in the deck so use your own discretion. I still always keep Oakheart because if you get to turn 8 or 9 and play the Combo the aggro decks almost always concede right away. Basically just armor up and when the enemies start building a big board drop Brawl or the Whirlwind/Fishes combo.

This deck is pretty complicated to play and it takes some getting used to but i will try to explain it the best i possibly can. So far I did a test run of 20 games finishing 14-6 (70% wins).

The main thing you need to know is that at all times you need to know what is in your deck. I personally use Hearthstone Deck Tracker but anything similar will work fine. The main point behind this deck is to survive to turn 9 (8 with the coin) and play Master Oakheart with DragonhatcherTar Lord, and Direhorn Hatchling still in the deck. If you can pull this off you get an insane turn dropping 4 huge minions on the board and most of the time you will roll a Sleepy Dragon giving you an extra massive taunt. If everything goes well and this happens you can just play out the game dropping the biggest minions you can and most enemies can’t keep dealing with them all.

If the game isn’t going your way and you end up drawing the combo pieces before Oakheart you don’t have to worry. Just try to keep the enemies board clear with Brawl and the Whirlwind Sleep with the Fishes combo. Dead Man's Hand comes in clutch when you finally draw the Oakheart, just copy everything in hand into your deck then play Oakheart next turn for the full combo.

Against other control decks: N'Zoth, The Corruptor probably seems like a weird fit into this deck but it comes in extremely strong in the late game. Towards the end of the game when you are running out of steam from all the recuits if they manage to clear your board you can drop N’Zoth and pull 2 extra Direhorns, the Mountainfire Armor and a Deathwing or 2. This gives you that last little push when both players are starting to fatigue, popping a Dead Man’s with N’zoth in your hand will help a lot as well if you can hold out on playing it right away.

Against Aggro: The only thing you really need to worry about is gaining as much armor as you can while keeping the enemy board clear, the clears stated above work well and Shield Block /Shield Slam can help gaining armor and clearing that one big minion (i.e. Edwin, Cobalt Scalebane, ect.). Again just surviving and getting your big taunts down is all you have to do to win or make them concede.

OVERVIEW: I don’t think this is a Tier 1 meta deck or even close however it is an extremely fun and satisfying deck to play with and it can help you climb the ranks for sure. I am playing at around rank 10 with this deck no problems so don’t be worried and have fun playing with all the crazy decks out there. The most satisfying part is playing any form of Priest and seeing them try to deal with all of the 4 attack high health dragons, it is the perfect anti priest deck if you hate playing against them! If you change anything up and it works well be sure to let me know!
