Hello. Maximal here. I am numerous time legend player and an avid handlock fan, having over 4000 wins on handlock, dating back to Goblin vs Gnomes times.

I took a break from Heartstone for couple of months, but decided to come back to try the new meta and decks, mostly handlock really. So I build the deck and went from rank 23 to 5 in 3 days, going 45-20 (78%) with current decklist. Turns out handlock is really good again, with warlock getting some pretty strong cards lately, card rotation and favourable meta for it.

This deck fairs really well in this meta, where it beats pretty much every deck there is. Destroys hunters and paladins, destroys hadronox druids, cubelocks, taunt warriors and combo shamans by applying heavy pressure and overwhelming the opponent. The only so-so matchup is tempo rogue.

Insane self-harm synergy with Kobold Librarian Vulgar Homunculus Chittering TunnelerHellfire Hooked Reaver Lesser Amethyst Spellstone.

With rotation and warlock getting some good spells lately Chittering Tunneler turned into a very good card. Lots of low mana spells (many of them are healing ones) makes this card even efficient against aggro. And against control Lesser Amethyst Spellstone Twisting Nether or Siphon Soulis big. Chances to get a bad spell are really small now.

To anyone who is not familiar with Handlock, since it’s absence in meta was quite long after Molten Giant nerf. Here is explanation and gneral idea how it works:

Handlock is a type of warlock control deckthat commonly has a high number of cards in the hand, thus earning the name Handlock. Handlock uses synergy with high hand size and low Health to produce sudden and devastating board plays, while keeping itself narrowly out of reach of defeat. Handlocks rely on Taunts, limited removal and good healing in order to stay alive long enough to play out a flurry of powerful minions, with which they then tend to very quickly overwhelm the opponent.

With a dangerous relationship with Health, and a range of possible strategies to employ at any moment, Handlock is widely considered one of the most complex decks in Heartstone

I will be posting class strategies once the meta becomes stable and after reaching legend.
