it depends on the matchup. you have to consider what's most likey the deck type you are up against.
Lots of threats and elementals, vicious fledgling can win by itself if it isn’t handled. People tend to be a bit surprised to see the archmage in there. I like to get a strong turn 10 with him using a powered up spell stone. and maybe a breath of sindragosa.
Explosive runes can be swapped with other spells, but it’s nice to gain a bit of tempo. something seems off, since I remember there also being one more taunt spawner in there. maybe I only had 1 servant of kalimos.
sometimes I put in the tranform guy in there, it’s worth the risk if you’ve got just 1/2s out there, and they have something nasty. it’s a sub for a poly-morph, that just might do the trick or at least make your enemy more manageable.
I’m considering swapping the arcane I for a 2nd ruby spell stone, it might be too much of a risk to use book of specters shifting scroll might also do nicely.
