Mulligans

General Mulligans

You should try to get atleast one of those cards on your mulligan , as they give you the best power spike into midrange. Apprentice is also good early on , but only if you go second , against non early agro matchups , or else you will panic and waste the cheap spells before you get a card to combo those (now 0 costing) spells with. Keep her against agro if you Mulliguned Cyclone , Chenvala , or Luna and you go second.

The Deck revolves (slinging puns) around setting a hand to combo split golems while Slinging cheap mage spells that reduce mana golem cost , and a buildup for Cyclone Battlecry.

Throughout the game its important to manage hand size to not burn cards , while sometimes you will benefit more from holding into your cheap spells a few more turns so you can triggers key effects from your minions (aka Cyclone, Chenvala, Or luna) Aspecially early on in the game where Mulligan can be against you.

Ideally , by turn 7 you should be able to fill your board with hard hitting 8 mana minions.

If not , stall the game with freezes , and keep cycling your spells to prep for Mountain giant , or to deal with enemy late game.

Raid of the Sky temple is optional if you go against alot of control , or late game opponents.

Switch it with Mirror image or Elemental allies as you see fit. But i find that the default mage hero power is too benefitional throughout the whole game. It goes well with freezes , and doesn’t make you play a non effect card early on , where it is most vital to get the slinging and combos going fast.

Good luck! Have fun!

(PS Kalegcos Rarely is mentioned in this kind of decks , but it saved me more times than i could imagine. You can put a golem or the Summoning 4 mana raven instead)
