Deck Import

Face Hunter is easily the most infamous deck in Hearthstone. People criticize the fact that there are few decisions to be made and every cards inevitably goes face. Aggro, however, can be difficult to play and using the deck to its full potential can be a challenge. Face Hunter is also one of the cheapest top tier decks in the game, and gives new players a chance to challenge opponents at any rank. The other great thing about Face Hunter is that games are fast, and being on the winning or losing end of a match is usually apparent within the first five or six turns. Like it or not, decks like Face Hunter keep control decks in check and disallow a super control heavy meta.

Face Hunter has a very fast curve that generally uses no cards over four mana. Animal Companion is a card that can make or break your game depending on which companion you get. Huffer is generally your best bet as it allows you to push fast damage, but there will be times where even Leokk will be the one you are hoping to get. Arcane Golem and Kill Command are great finishers, and Ironbeak Owl gets you passed any pesky taunts.

Face Hunter Deck List Update – April 2016 (Season 25)

Hunter's Mark is a nice addition to the list, this is especially good against Priest which runs Deathlord.

Face Hunter Mulligan Guide and Strategy

You’re looking to keep Leper Gnome, Haunted Creeper, Knife Juggler, and Mad Scientist. Glaivezooka is an okay keep if you have a Leper Gnome already. Hunter's Mark can be kept against Priest for Deathlord. Eaglehorn Bow can be kept against problematic 3-drops like Mana Wyrm and Tunnel TroggIronbeak Owl is a keeper against something like Warrior when you know you’ll be having to get passed a Sludge Belcher

Face Hunter Tech Cards

Leeroy Jenkins can be added for extra destroying power in the later games, although it makes Quick Shot slightly worse because Leeroy has a tendency to sit in your hand if drawn too early. A second Glaivezooka is a possibility, and some players have added Argent Squire because of its ability to stick to the board.

Face Hunter Card Substitutions (Replacements)

Keep in mind that replacements for cards are rarely ever going to be perfect. It’s usually easiest to try and come close to what the card accomplishes, or double up an already existing card in the deck.

Face Hunter Combos and Synergies

Knife Juggler and Unleash the Hounds is a classic Face Hunter combo. A first turn coin into Haunted Creeper into a Knife Juggler is a nice compliment that can sometimes get a cheap kill on a 3/2.

There are times when you might want to hold a beast to make sure you can get a full strength Kill Command. This is especially the case if you’ll have lethal next turn and the beast will basically do nothing this turn.

Unlikely at this point, it’s slower than other aggro decks.

The fact that we are saying that is insane.

Not really because half the cards in the deck were nerfed.

fells like freezing trap is missing it’s probably the best hunter trap. It’s essentially a better version of sap. It doesn’t do face damage directly but protecting ur minions = more face damage.

there’s no edit option but i wanted to add that mad scientist with only 2 traps is not a good idea. You should have at least 4 secrets to make use of mad scientist. Generally a hunter should run 4-6 traps. Face hunter should probably not run bear. Snake is a bit situational only good if you have a juggler.

Weird, because I’ve seen many Face Hunters pre-Old Gods running 1 of 3 secrets: Explosive, Bear and Snake’s.

“Generally a hunter should run 4-6 traps.” More like 1-3.

Btw, I must make this clear, there is nothing wrong with this deck, it is perfectly fine. it just DOES’T work anymore because things changed a lot in several months and people are much more prepared to this kinda decks… you certainly won’t be getting at top 3 ranks let alone being a legend..

Disagree since I made legend with the deck in the March season. I’m not running this exact list, but pretty close. There are definitely bad matchups as with any deck, but Face Hunter can and will still get ranks and potentially legend.

      For those curious:
      -1 Explosive Trap
      -2 Haunted Creeper
      -1 Hunter’s Mark
      -1 Arcane Golem
      -1 Glaivezooka

      +1 Leeroy Jenkins
+1 Bear Trap (The amount of misplays this card causes are the reason I’ve kept it in)
      +2 Worgen Infiltrator
      +2 Flame Juggler
