Deck Import

Crane is one of the best Patron players in the world, so I was very interested to see how he adapted the list. While you’ve lost Death's Bite, you’ve gained Ravaging Ghoul which is a decent replacement for the card. You’ve also gained Blood To Ichor which is a nice way to produce Patrons or take out pesky one Health minions.

Update

-1 Wild Pyromancer, -1 Emperor Thaurissan, -2 Gnomish Inventor, +1 Battle Rage, +2 Bloodhoof Brave, +1 Kor'kron Elite

I seem to be losing quite a few times with this deck because my patrons dont last a turn after I combo them, they simply get board cleared.

You use it with a spell to spawn more Patrons. You can also use it to clear a Warlock Zoo or token board.

I dropped the Kor-kron for a blod warriors less bursty but solves the patron elimination issue if you get to hit them after a whirlwind … just takes a while to get used to when to play it

I’m having troubles on the ladder with this deck, I lose quite often due to a lack of tempo (or difficulties to control sometimes). I just don’t have Grom and Rag, I replaced them with Thaurissan and Nefarian. Is it the reason why i’m having such troubles with the deck ? Or maybe I should add more body cards like corsair, or taskmaster to getmore tempo ?

Well, Grommash would be a problem not to have. Ragnaros isn’t necessary for this deck, and I don’t think Nefarian fits here very well. I’d try a second Kor’kron Elite, and I’d go with Harrison Jones, but you could keep Thaurissan if you don’t have it. The problem with Corsair is that you only have two weapons so you will rarely get it at a discount.

Generally: Sir Finley, Acolyte of Pain, Blood to Ichor, Frothing Berserker, Fiery War Axe (most important), and Armorsmith.

What hero powers to opt for from Finley? I think Mage or Card draw is good.

Those are the best ones, Druid is good for buffing your Fiery War Axe.

Patron is kinda weird right now, some very annoying AoE got removed from Standard and Control Warrior isn’t played much for now which is a very good thing. It also got some amazing new cards which are probably just as good or maybe even better than having Death’s Bite but if you dont get your patrons of they get cleared, it’s even worse than before since you dont have Shredder, Dr Boom (and Belcher as well) to control the board and still apply pressure wihout Patrons

+ Hogger, Doom of Elwynn – Bloodhoof Brave has worked well for me

I’m actually glad to see Bloodhoof Brave may have found a home. Seems like a solid turn sequence would be Brave turn 4, followed on 5 with Patron/Inner Rage, or coin Whirlwind? Also seems like it could be solid protection for Frothing.

Turn 3 Frothing is not that easy to remove especially if you have a fiery win axe to protect him early so T3 Frothing followed by T4 Bloodhoof Brave is such an insane combo (you get soooo far ahead if frothing doesnt get removed instantly by a spell, and the most used spell to deal 4+ damage right now is probably Swipe, which activates your Bloodhoof brave and takes a whole turn anyways

Any idea why no tentacle of N’zoth? I’ve been running it in patron and it’s working pretty good.

i thought that too, was really confused how this got left out

Tentacle of N’Zoth only can do one thing most of the times: amplify an already existing whirlwind effect.
Then it’s only useful when you already the rest of the pieces of the combo and other cards are more valuable thou.
I’m not playing it anyway tho.

(Also have in mind that card is specifically powerfull against flood decks which… are not the meta right now, maybe later…)

Tentacle must die to ping and opponent can kill it BEFORE you take any benefict from it (just like break Deathbite last season).
