Great deck. My version is running:

    – 1 Mana addict
    – 1 Glyph
    +2 Celestial Emissaries

The addition of emissaries makes the deck handle aggro decks so much better. Emissary+ Shooting star is a three mana excellent removal

Being a fan of tempo mage for a long time, recently I find this deck is really bad against Ziliax. For example, odd paladin was already an unfavorable match up for this deck, and the win condition against them was often ignoring the board at mid game, focusing on face damage. Now that they have Ziliax, attaching it to a 5/5 while attacking the same turn is devastating to tempo mage’s game plan.
And Ziliax is everywhere in the ladder now ;( And no secrets, not even potion of polymorph or mirror entity can do anything when they Ziliax ;(

Ese no es el consejo que deberías darle a un compañero. Me apeno por tu alma, hijo de satanás. Verás arder el infierno dentro de sus llamas recalcitrantes, y soñarás nunca haber dicho estas palabras. What I mean is that you will never understand how beautiful is to be in heaven. Auf wiedersehen

Winning about 4 out of 5 with this one so far, only thing thats killing it is bad draws or other tempo’s.

Did Apxvoid already say if this version is better than the previous one with the keysmith and lifedrinkers? I’m not sure whether to make the change to this version or not …

if the one with lifedrinkers and keysmith was better, wouldn’t he be playing that one?

Playing at rank 3 i first had 5 wins in a row, then i had 5 losses in a row.
    It is really draw dependent…

For those wondering what to replace Luna with if you don’t have her. He recommended on twitter to add a counterspell as a replacement. So thats a choice, but then again on livestream he said he thinks single counterspell is better right now because of how good having runes off ur Arconologist is, so if u wanted to try something different, then Celestial Emissary or Bloodmage would be your best bet (I’ve actually personally found Celestial to be an inclusion in the deck myself)

Not bad. The Drawing power is insane with Luna+Aluneth+Arcane Intellect. Combined with spell power and low cost minions, this deck can STOMP!

I opened Luna day one of the expansion, but don’t have Aluneth and I suppose it’s really necessary in tempo Mage rn. I could craft it but I’d like to know if this type of deck is viable and consistent enough ?

What do you think of Balmains question?

I went from Rank 22 to Rank 16 in <25 games with a ~55% win rate. Using deck tracker it seems that I consistently beat Druids (malygos, togwaggle, and doken) with this Deck and consistently lose against Odd Paladins and Odd Warriors.

Odd Paladins flood the board with low cost minions and unless I get a lucky draw from Primordial Glyph (i.e. flamestrike or blizzard) it quickly gets out of hand. and Odd Warriors I always get close to destroying early but they eventually have too much armor for me to be able to burn down with Fire and beat me late game. Their taunt minions also contribute to this success as cinderstorm hits the minions instead of hero as I would like it to for this particular matchup.

Hunter and Warlocks games have been very dependent on the draw (some wins, some losses).

In regards to the Aluneth card – I would say this particular card has only contributed to about 10-20% of my victories. A lot of times I've been able to beat my opponents down enough prior to turn 6 that this really wasn't necessary. The only scenarios where it has come in handy is when I got a bad draw + mulligan at the beginning or to give me that extra push I need to draw additional damage (fireball, frostbolt, cinderstorm) late game. However, I would think that you'd be able to get by just fine with a correctly played stargaze Luna and arcane Intellect.

        Hope this helps!

I hit legend for my very first time with this decklist (-1 Mana Addict, + 1 Celestial Emissary) and was able to go from R3 – Legend with an 80% WR. With Luna and Aluneth together makes your card draw significantly more consistent and there is a crazy amount of burn in this deck with the additional spell dmg. If you enjoy fast decks and Mage then you will love playing this!

I have Aluneth but no Luna and I feel like it would work just as good the other way around.

Thalnos for Luna is pretty smart. +1

Great fun great deck you really need about three rotations and good card draws to make use of this powerful deck but when the stars align you will leave your opponents stunned

Is it good to add Mecha’thun?

You could do it for memes, but it’s a build-around card. I’ve played this type of deck a couple thousand games and I can’t recall a situation where it would have activated the battle cry. In fact, one of the very challenges is to keep your hand at 6 or below when Aluneth’ing, which is difficult in its own right more often than not. Having enough turns to actually empty hand, AND ensure your side of the board is wiped, will be near impossible.

This deck very easily meets the decking requirement, but it specializes in running out of turns to play all its cards.

Not a bad idea I’ve ran into a few situations where I drained my deck and died due to cars draws

Yeah I was thinking Vex Crow. I can’t justify crafting a class specific card like Luna until I see how long she is viable in the meta

    Replacement for Luna?

Seriously? She is the most important draw engine after Aluneth.
You could try the deck with vex crow/ another secret instead.

Seems like it’s built around low cost minions, spell dmg and draw so i’m gonna say Thalnos or Tainted Zealot as a budget card.

Pienso que este mazo es, sin duda, apropiado para vencer a tus oponentes más temibles, sobre cuyos cuerpos beberás el sabroso néctar de la victoria inminente, y entregarás tu alma a satanás, hijo del rigor.
