This deck is an answer to the following problems with RazaPriest:

1) Win is ~100% dependent on drawing combo in timely fashion

2) Mirror is extremely boring

3) Bad matchup against aggro

4) Bad against Quest Mage (and Quest Rogue)

5) Particularly vulnerable to milling decks like Fatigue Warrior and Demonlock

This deck has an even matchup with most aggro decks and a favorable matchup against more aggressive midrange decks like DK Midrange Hunter and Handbuff/Murloc Paladin. It also allows you to build a reasonable board and threaten Quest Mage (and potentially steal an ice block which basically guarantees a win). It can also reasonably beat down a Fatigue Warrior (arcane giant or Bring It On).

I’ve toyed with a lot of variations of this, including:

– Running Nzoth package (too slow, and there are a number of matchups where you actually dont want to bring back draw deathrattles like bloodmage and Loot Hoarder)

– Netherspite Historian (too slow and without an enabler in hand it’s 100% useless whereas a 5/6 is still useful even without dragons in hand).

– Running some additional spell combinations
  – Smite is not particularly effective against aggro decks, and isn’t enough to justify it as extra ping damage for Anduin)
  – Pint-Size Potion + Shadow Word Horror isn’t as good with the decline of aggro druid as it becomes too situational and needing both cards in hand tilts the consistency of the deck in a bad direction.
