Anytime you summon a minion without playing it the battlecry doesn’t trigger, so I don’t think that’s a super important downside/observation. The big difference between this and Shadow Essence is this is a minion. So it has extreme anti-synergy with Shudderwock, for example.

Has there been a neutral 3 mana minion with battlecry draw a card, for comparison’s sake? I can’t think of one.

I love the idea of taking early game cards and allowing them to expand in the late game. I think they’ve made omega cards entirely too binary to be looked at positively, though. Really hope they refine the idea in future generations.

I agree with your analysis, though. It will be very good, dare I say OP, in Arena, but merely playable in constructed.

You are totally right in Arena. Dirty constructed is greedy enough that I don’t think you would ever play this before turn 10 except when absolutely necessary to survive.

Bruh. They’ve made it clear that callback cards are unique to this expansion, and more specifically that each EVIL class is only get one callback card that corresponds to the set their villain is from.

I would think you would run Unstable Element, Pogo, Chef Nomi, Academic Espionage, Sprint and this with an aggro package. You create pressure early with the aggro build, tempo out with unstable and Nomi, then continually put pressure while maintaining long term viability with this, Academic Espionage and Sprint.
