Why is this coming out at the same time Oaken Summons is rotating out? I ALWAYS drew my Ironwood Golems before the Oaken Summons. But having 4 of those instead of 2 would have actually made a difference.

Pack fillerrrrr… except when you get it from summoning a random 9-cost minion. Then it’s good.

This kind of minions have always been great in Arena.

As long as you don’t play it on turn 3, the tempo blowout of this minion is pretty good. Just imagine Turn 5 Witchwood Grizzly. Then Turn 6 Witching Hour + this. And that’s just one combo that came out from the top of my head. Card is great.

Violet Wurm was a bit too mana-heavy at 8. As others are saying, this is not too far from Savannah Highmane, and that has always been a solid minion.

Is the Gryphon a Beast? Then this card is actually good tech against things like Rez Priest, Witching Hour, etc.

VERY noteworthy: this guys summons COPIES when surviving damage, NOT fresh new minions like Grim Patron does. So you damage your guy, he’s now a 3/4, he summons another 3/4. Damage them again, they summon 3/3s. So no possibility of going infinite like old Grim Patron. Besides, it’s 7 mana instead of 5 mana. Patron was already almost unplayable after Warsong Commander nerf anyway, so this will see zero play.

Remember Mindgames? I think this is at the same level. Sure, it’s anti-combo. But then run the 3/8 minion, it’s much better.

Best case scenario is juicy, but worst case scenario this is horrible. It would only be decent in Midrange Warlock, and without Genn, Even midrange Warlock doesn’t seem like it will be there. This card is unplayable in Zoo and in Control.
