Don’t really understand the terrible ratings on this one. Though I haven’t played the deck in quite a while, this seems like an auto-include in (now wild) odd rogue. Turn 2 weapon + turn 3 this yields 5-6 worth of stats + a 2-1 weapon on turn 3–which is absolutely insane for a an aggressive tempo deck.
This card is honestly not that bad if youhave a decent taunt minion and your opponent doesnt have removal it becomes 3 mana 5/6 deal 2 damage to a friendly minion. In arena an effect like this could be very powerful. Also a tech card against certain decks but too niche to use as tech. Maybe an aggro deck if they can fit taunt cards. This would have been better in ungoro cuz aggro ran tar creeper and stonehill
Is the Gryphon a Beast? Then this card is actually good tech against things like Rez Priest, Witching Hour, etc.
Will see positively no play. 1/5
It has niche utility, but the average case scenario is that of a card where your opponent gets to take advantage of its ability first. It’s not Duskfallen Aviana levels of terrible, but I don’t think this will see play. 1/5
Has a few uses trade value cards, Rez pool breaker, token power. Just like other cases if your opponent had a full board this is a 3 cost 5/6 which isn’t to bad there are some classes that could nuke opponents field.
I actually think this has tech potential? There are a lot of cards that benefit from trading, which become unusable when you’re in a control/combo matchup where your opponent doesn’t develop a board. Scavenging Hyena, Spirit of the Bat, Gonk Druid card’s, Overkill, etc etc. Plus it messes with your opponent’s res pool.
Meant for some sort of Token Card that you need to immidently buff. Maybe something like Druid. But Otherwise yeah, 1 star. But 4 Stars if you can pull it off.
