Mulligans
The deck pulls from the fact that n’zoth and c’thun only need a few cards to make them good. shadowcaster and brann can combo to make the few cards used to make them viable and blow them out of proportion. that being said in itself you don’t need to use any of those cards to win.
I decided to share this deck that I’ve been working on for months due to the recent popularity of people using shadowcaster to try and make variants of this deck.
small outline of some cards would be the ones used to fill slots and have counter play across the board.
sir finley – for heal/armor
Coldlight Oracle – fills the gap of needing card draw with low end requirements, synergizes with sap/vanish/shadowstep/bloodthistle/brann/darkiron/kodo/EMP/drawing towards n’zoth
mind control tech – counter agro
cyclopian horror – sheer synergy with most cards and combos
BGH – synenergizes with briathorn elixer
Xaril – synergizes with brewmaster/barnes/dark ironskulker/BGH/brann/shadowcaster/kodo/emp/reno/hogger/blade of c’thun/c’thun/N’zoth
hogger – barnes/shadowcaster also great anti rush board clear
to start out you are looking for a hand of playable cards, starting with shadowstep tends to give far more options throughout the game. Xaril is also one of my favorite starting cards being that once it is out and dies, N’zoth now has enough vaule to be played on turn 10 as is. all of the poison cards are high value in this deck. the top to look for are bloodthistle followed by fadeleaf as these are far more useful later. Briathorn is also handy with big game hunter making any 4 attack minion target-able. So Briathorn aside lets talk about bloodthistle. once you have either that or shadowstep. barnes and shadowcaster become huge threats to your opponent! the best call for shadowcaster is by far brann followed by shadowstep on the caster giving endless combos to be played. basically anything you cast from there out you get 2 copies and with brewmaster in the deck you still have options later.
now that we talked about a few early turn combos, mid range combos looks something like having EMP with brann shadowcaster, or shadowstep with barnes turn 4.
to be continued…
