General Mulligans

Your goal in early game – and really at any point in the game – is to have board control so that's what you mulligan for.

Hello everyone,

This deck is my take on Even Shaman in the light of  the new Saviors of Uldum expansion. Alongside the tried and true core of the Even Shaman archetype this decks features the new overload package with Vessina and Sandstorm Elemental. The recently buffed Thunderhead from the Boomsday expansion is also in this deck to further emphasize on board presence and board control.  Thunderhead also synergises diretly with Vessina to create 3/1 rushing elementals when you overload.

With these new additions to the previous versions of Even Shaman your opponent has to fear potential burst damage from both your hand – with the likes of Crackle and Jade Lightning – and your board – as Vessina can account for 12 additonal damage the moment it is played.

There is a bit of redundancy in small board clears with the one copy of Maelstrom Portal and the two Sandstorm Elemental. You can probably replace one copy of either card with the likes of Hex if you want more transform effects, Hagatha the Witch for more value or even Soul of the Murloc for board resiliency.

Overall this deck is just a new version of Even Shaman and should be treated as such.
