Mulligans

General Mulligans

If you legit dont' know what the opponent might bring, look at keeping these list of cards. Nourish is only a keep with the coin and if you have another ramp in hand.

Aggro Mulligans

We have no anti aggro tools so regardless, u need to get on the board ASAP. Keep your ramp, keep doomsayer. Don't keep spellstone or wrath or mulch, lets draw into those once we have more mana.

Combo Mulligans

very similar to control mulligan. there are only 15 other cards that cost more than 4 once u have played hemet, so getting hemet out early can really change the pace of the game. Consider that of the remaining 15 cards, 5 of them draw multiple cards, 4 are part of the standard combo, 3 allow you to cheat stuff quicker, and the remaining nearly win you the game on the spot.

Control Mulligans

You want to keep these early ramp, and also mulligan aggressively for Hemet. He greatly speeds up your combo. I'd maybe keep psychmelon if we got the early ramp. if you have psychmelon and dorian, they are autokeep imo.

So I played this deck with another UI, Medivh and the 2nd wrath on ladder in July and went HAM with it. THE MOST FUN DECK IVE EVER PLAYED EVER.

I don’t want to get too deep into the original list, but if you want to learn how to play it, you can listen to my podcast episode on it here https://anchor.fm/ken-san-nicolas/episodes/Hearthstone-Deck-Tech-S01-E06-TOGWAGGLE-DRUID-e1tsih

Now on to the new stuff!

We’ve added 1 Biology Project to improve our early game mulligan and just strengthen our ramp. Yes, the card also gives them mana but we maintain initiative. Because of that, we can play it on turns to play towards our advantage. This is a combo deck, and that is absolutely necessary. We’ve weakened our aggro matchup (it was weak to begin with) by removing a Wrath for it.

We’ve added Flobbidinous Floop . This helps give us even more versatility with the combo. If it hits azalina or togwaggle, we are in good shape. Keep in mind, even if it hits one of these targets, u still need an Innervate to combo off. Unless of course u have Aviana or Kun the Forgotten King, in which case, all is good!

We’ve added Dollmaster Dorian because of the printing of Juicy Psychmelon. Melon is going to draw us all four combo pieces or the ones that aren’t already in hand this is also why we don’t play the flourist (don’t want to pull flourist with the melon in this particular deck). If we are able to land a dorian, we can turn 10 play psychmelon as well, and if we flip over aviana, then we can combo immediately. (1 remaining mana into Kun, refresh crystals, all the cards baby)

Because of this new combo we have removed 1 Ultimate Infestation.

There are cool interactions with Hemet, blingtron, twig and Reno, but those are covered in the podcast.

This deck thrives vs other combo decks and control decks, but struggles with really wide board states (even shaman, odd paladin etc.) Best served as a tournament offering if you expect a control meta. Still can be successful on ladder as it boasts a 55% winrate on HSreplays.
