General Mulligans
Ping/early damage classes:
Ghoul is #1 for me, free 3/3 among other low cost minions is great (my opinion).
No-Ping/no early damage:
Cleric/Oracle.
If you get a top heavy hand early, you're not going to have a great time if they're aggro but usually winnable if you can get something rolling later on (Shellraiser->Nova->Dragonfire for instance).
Control vs Control is more forgiving.
Priest Mirror: So far I've seen mostly the Raza/Lyra DK version, if they get a big Lyra turn with a bunch of small spells you're not going to have an easy game but I haven't had enough testing in the mirror to know who is favored.
Currently playtesting this deck, 5-5 while climbing. It’s still early in the expansion so I’m not holding my breath and a 50% win-rate with such a low game count is meaningless. Looking for critiques mainly.
Some changes I made during initial testing:
Happy Ghoul, great vs Hunter/Pirate Warrior/Rogue (anyone who runs patches or has a 1 drop). Was finding some of the explosive starts to be difficult (Alley cat -> Scavenge, Pirate Warriors, ect) so I took out some tech cards.
Possible inclusions/exclusions:
Skulking Geist – Obvious but may still be not necessary. Think Jade will have trouble with the amount of “big stuff” and use my removal properly. We’ll see.
Remove 2nd Dragonfire – This again goes back to some decks that are becoming a bit potent. Druid, Token shaman, warriors, ect. May need it.
Remove Elise – Overall I think she’s a good card, but maybe not for this type of deck, could add Arfus, more healing or additional removal.
Spirit Lash – For insta-healing vs token boards.
Raza – Would be a late-game (see: whenever I get through 90% of my deck) for a 2nd kill route using hero power. Not 100% sold on this due to the amount of duplicates I have, would need to make a whole new deck for this route.
Arfus – Additional DK card would be interesting with N’zoth, would probably place this in for Shallow Gravedigger but I am out of dust.
Embrace Darkness – 6 mana MC on the next turn for important minions that they can’t remove through trades. May be too slow.
Kill route currently:
Fatigue or Hero power. Getting to 4/7 minions of quest is first priority usually to have a “backup” using N’zoth and having Amara waiting. If you don’t need her immediately you can go for a larger N’zoth and DK for multiple large removals.
