Deck Import

Luffy was one of the originators of the new aggro face shaman, and he seems to have refined it quite nicely. This deck is even more aggressive than wiRer’s recent version, and includes the newly released Sir Finley Mrrgglton. Shaman with the potential of the Hunter Hero Power? Pretty scary stuff. This deck also supplies some card draw, Ancestral Knowledge will help replenish your hand with a side benefit of buffing your Tunnel Trogg. You will also surely recognize some of your favorites from Face Hunter! Leper Gnome, Argent Horserider, and Wolfrider are all here to destroy your opponent’s face.

I cannot understand these aggro decks doing well, I’m not a fan of aggro, but everytime I try to play one with shaman I get destroyed by aggro decks of other classes almost 90% of the time.

I’m playing a version of this deck – (since I don’t have all the cards) – but it’s fun to play and you either win or lose quickly so that’s nice.

I dropped the Wolf Rider and added Leeroy Jenkins for that little extra push!

Been a great deck for me. Went from 8 to 3 with it, and this is my first time passing 5. Can’t seem to break past 3 though. Has a tough time against secret pallies (which there are a lot of) and Reno-locks.

This deck sucks guys in the current meta. Too many healbot/reno around

This deck is top tier. If you see a lot of Renos, just hold back until you can deal 15-20 damage in one turn. No one plays Reno when they’re at 15-20 health.

I have everything but the doom hammers any suggestions for replacements for now?

I honestly don’t think you can play this deck without at least one Doomhammer. You could just try going for a second Abusive Sergeant and Wolfrider though.

I got legend with this deck 🙂 it is really good! the only card i would change is maybe flame tongue , it certainly helps in some match-ups like renolock, but by turn 5 often you already lost board control and are looking for face damage.
    My Keys to win
    – You want to develop a trogg/early minions and protect them with feral spirit.
    – Doomhamer as early as possible!!
    – Wise management of overload/Lavashock

    Happy feast of winter veil!

To everyone asking how to play the deck and especially to the guy claiming to be a legend aggro player even though he thinks this deck sucks:
Basically, Trogg is your wincon. You mulligan aggressively for him. The only card I won’t throw away in hopes of getting Trogg in my opening hand is Leper Gnome and even he isn’t great against Rogue, Druid, and Mage. If you have a Trogg in your opener, you want Totem Golem and Feral Spirit if you have the coin. That’s it.
As far as piloting the deck, you do wanna make trades when they’re profitable. Especially to preserve a Trogg. I try to hold the burn spells and Rockbiters for their face. Between Bolts, Crackles, and Bursts you have over 20 points of damage which means you have reach even if they stabilize behind a wall of taunts. Rockbiter is important to keep for when you have Doomhammer cuz that’s basically a Pyroblast. I think I’ve lost with this deck once total and its all I’ve played this season. Currently on a 5 game win streak 🙂

Would it do okay if I took out Wolfrider and put in another Abusive Sergeant?

dont craft deathwing unless you already have ysera, malganis, jaraxxus, dr boom, sylvanas, etc etc basically all the really good legendaries.

deathwing is a legendary that is so low on the power scale that i dusted mine without even spending a minute to think about it. much rather have a 1/4 of my next top notch legendary then that card.

I have 1600 dust. I want a legendery card but i dont know with one is the best to play with shaman. I was thinking maybe deathwing or ysera. I would apreciate some help, thanks

I wouldn’t craft Deathwing, I mean it depends on what Shaman deck you’d want to play. I wouldn’t craft any card until I for sure knew what deck I was going to run.

Deathwing is not a card I’d blow dust on. It’s a prayer, and therefore inconsistent. If it gets BGH’d, you’re a sitting duck with no hand. Ysera is a great card to craft. I don’t know of any good builds that you run it in with shaman, but if you like to play control style decks, it’s almost a must-have in my opinion. Hope this helps

son, i have more legend seasons than u had wet dreams. everyone listen to me not this trash ouch, this sucks, i only play it to get shaman to gold as i did to my other classes, but it really sucks compared to secret aggro pal, face hunt, aggro druid, even zoolock.

Are there any youtube videos on how to play this deck? I know it’s a face deck, but for some reason it doesn’t click for me.

If “all other aggro decks” means variations of face hunter , just get back to it.Probably your iq isn’t high enough to play with another class.

      Second Wolfrider or Knife Juggler.

Why not Stormforged Axe, its like a mini Doomhammer?

Anyone else having issues with this deck just flat out drawing poorly?

Totally agree. If you draw perfectly you’re guaranteed to win. But most likely you don’t.

Cool to see that Tunnel Trogg unlock new shaman decks possibilities ! It feels like it’s the card that prevented Shaman to be a “strong” class present in the ladder.

About the deck I think I’d try to play with one Bloodlust (with -1 Wolfrider, or -1 Lava Burst) even tho it’s a 5 drop.

I thought I’d be safe settling down on Freeze Mage, but I find that it’s not that good anymore. The question is:

With 1200 dust, should I start playing Midrange Paladin or start this deck?

I’m planning to get LoE either way (for Keeper of Uldaman/Tunnel Trogg, Sir Finley).

    Thanks!

I’m surprised Freeze Mage isn’t working for you! I think Midrange Paladin is a safe bet right now.

Don’t get me wrong– I love Freeze Mage; the problem is that I do attend monthly local tournaments (where we chip in prizes), and everyone seems to be running Druid and Warrior to put an end to my reign of 1st place for 6 months.

Freeze Mage’s games are really long, something that I generally don’t like. Also, I’m not super optimistic, so I end up conceding quite early against Druid and Warrior.

My last gripe with the deck is that I’m running into a lot of people running Kezan on ladder; probably to counter the initial weeks of Secrets Paladin, when everyone is using that deck to climb to legend. As you probably know, Kezan is super frustrating as a Freeze Mage.

Could I replace Wolfrider with arcane golem?
