Jaraxus with no emperor, no faceless taunt, no Sylvanas for priest, no combo. The deck is too anti-Shaman oriented, which is great for legend ladder, but not so much for normal ladder.

I’ld like to clarify a few things, having watched the stream and all, because there seems to be some confusion about this list. This is NOT a meme, this is just a deck with 1 goal: beating aggro shaman. Therefor there are some interesting cuts and inclusions. In general: all the greedy cards and combo are cut, only win condition against control you have left is Jaraxxus and Kazakus. This makes room for all the faster, cheap tech inclusions (mct, voidwalker, corruption, sunfury, courrier,…)
Therefor the hand is often not that big, which makes Emperor not worth it. And it’s not a good card against aggro anyways. It only hurts with the Jaraxxus against control, but again, this deck is all about beating aggro, specificly aggro shaman.
All the board clears and taunts align well with this strategy, but apparently there is a lot of confusion about frost elemental. It’s a good tempo card, can be used to freeze a big guy if to set up to kill it, because the only single target removal warlock has is siphon soul and now the potion. It’s also usefull to stall another turn against weapons. And there’s the synergy with corruption, another misunderstood card. It’s similar to doomsayer, in that early game it can seize a lot of tempo by clearing and stalling development, but late game the opponent can easily ignore it and cash in the face damage. Freeze effects make corruption, similar to doomsayer in freezemage, still very relevant.

Is this some kind of a joke? This is nothing like any of the good renolock lists. There isnt even at least a shadowflame. How do you expect to win with this deck? I think Hoej is just trolling us.

Shadow flame is not that great without Sylvanas and the combo package (leeroy and p.o. in particular)

I was just saying that this deck does not make any sense and i dont think it can last at all. Thats why i think hoej is just trolling us.

This deck is legit, I saw it on tylers stream when he lost to Hoej while trying to get NA rank 1 legend. I think he was rank 4 at that moment, so it was really high legend. This deck indeed run frost elemental, he used frost elemental in combination with corruption.

Why have frost elemental in the deck rather than sylvanna’s or emperor?

Synergy with corruption, plus good body

6 mana for a 5/5 is a well understated minion. Frost elemental without the corruption doesn’t have much going for it in terms of value unless that freeze will be a game winning move which is highly unlikely in probably most matches. This is why this card doesn’t see any play outside warlock decks.

They’re both pretty slow against shamans, that’s why I’m assuming
