Mulligans

Hi guys. Made it to rank 1 with this deck at the moment. The deck is strongest against quest/control warrior, Can out tempo Jade Duid most of the time, on par with the most popular mid-range decks right now, struggles but can pull through in very aggressive match ups. requires a bit more specific draw order against control mages. Rarely, most of your jade token generators can be at the bottom of your deck, and you get a silly start with N’zoth in your opening hand, but that’s just rotten bad luck. Just about all decks can draw poorly and make your match a clunky mess, but this deck tends to consistently run rather smoothly. I think it is weakest against quest rogue, but have I have still beaten them maybe 1/4 of the times.

Mulligans are Backstab, Jade swarmer, Thalnos, Jade Shuriken, Fan Of Knives, Barnes, And Jade spirit. Aya is not bad because it is great to be able to drop on turn 6.

Journey below gives you a rather high chance of giving you an extra Swarmer or Aya, otherwise you’re looking for something that heals you, gives you draw, adds value to your hand, or summons a token.  whatever is best for the current situation.

against control mages, you want to save your so that you can use mistress with umbra. as far as heals are concerned in this deck, if you don’t get an extra mistress from journey below or Barnes, with 2 mistress alongside umbra will heal you for 16, bringing them back with N’zoth for another 12, and then 2 Farseer’s for 6, this package can potentially heal you for 30 throughout your match.

Like any jade deck, drawing cards as quickly as possible wins you the game, cult master is great with all the small to medium sized minions  in this deck and the jade tokens they summon. south sea deckhand has great synergy with cult master since playing both on the same turn can guarantee card draw value from cult master, South sea Deckhand is also just great as 2 burst damage for 1 mana, but he should try and be saved for cult master if possible. You may at times even want to just use fan to cycle cards

Barnes can pull out mistress for extra heals, Thalnos for extra daw and spell damage, Swarmers and Aya for extra jades, Umbra, or cult master. it’s also 4/5 stats on board for 4 mana split between 2 minions that could potentially be traded in with cult master on board.

    cars that i d replace:
    1. both deckhands, you re not an aggrodeck and have no piratesynergie
    2. Umbra isn’t this overkill you should be threatening the ctrldecks enough already and there is a reason why nobody plays it, it s to situational and it’s stattline is plain to bad. it s basically “deathrattlebrann” but brann was a 2/4 for 3 mana which is a solid stattline, 3/4 for 4 mana is simply not good enough
    3. one or both saps, the only saptarget that I see in current meta are buffed minions, most miraclerogues don’t run sap atm, cause all the current bigdrops you usually don’t want to sap so ther is not realy a situation where you want to sap, if not even miraccle is running it which is way faster why would you run a card that literally gives the enemy value for getting tempo ( you use a card for him to simply play the card again) as a slower deck?
cards that I can imagine might work instead are:
    1. one or two shadowsteps
    2. one or two infested taurens
    3. one or two shadowcasters
    4. one or two loot hoarders
    5. one or two doomsayer
I d be happy to hear what you think about my suggestions

Hi. umbra can give you big heals with mistress’s and get your jades a rollin’ (a free extra jade is always a huge tempo swing, and the heals have won me the game against control mage) or just help cycle faster to your n’zoth turn which usually wins you the game. i know it’s one extra mana for 1 more attack than brann, but rogue has a cheap 2 mana activator similar to jade claws with brann which was bonkers.

having deckhand for cheap 1 mana 2 burst damage (becuase of your hero power) has won me the game by slowing down an aggro board or helping push for lethal (or pop an ice block) but mostly to help you cycle with cult master on board while pumping 2 damage into an enemy minion, it’s like a second backstab that can go face and hit damaged characters. you suggested loot hoarder, which cost 1 more for the same stats as deckhand and no charge, but with cult master all your minions become loot hoarders in a sense :D.

shadow step runs to big of a risk for being a dead card or just being to slow for me. shadowcasters were a similar that i did try running.

the tempo swing, or extra time bought with sap is completely necessary against control decks and again helps you survive against aggro

doomsayer makes my bad match ups even worse by not being proactive enough

        Hi Dude,

quick question: playing two deckhands makes sense since you’re running cult master I see. But is there a particular reason to don’t run patches?

No, It just feels like there’s already enough small minions but you could add him probably
