Mulligans

General Mulligans

Northshire for draws

eggs to play on curve ahead of the duskbreaker

Stonehill for defense

Inner fire to get the turn 2, 3/3 and break eggs

This deck is based on the mechanic from the devilsaur egg and the swamp dragon egg. It may seem a weak aproach to base a deck on, but the dynamics to break them are in favour of a control style deck. From the eggs you will get either mighty powerful dragons, or a 5/5 on turn 2 if you get the curve right.

Breaking the eggs:

turn 2:

if you played swamp egg in turn 1 you can break them with the alchemist, or shadow word pain (which I don“t advise due to being one of the best removers in early game wise). One of the most profitable ways to break them is through inner fire. The eggs then become 3/3 and an early threat, which they will waste resources on. Once they break the egg they will give you a 5/5 or a powerful dragon for you to play and activate duskbreaker.

turn 3

this turn if are playing against control you should play the devilsaur, if you are playing against agressive style deck then play stonehill defender.

turn 4:

Duskbreaker time! This will clear most of the boards from hunter, paladin, mage, rogue and shaman.

Turn 5:

If you didn’t paly duskbreaker in turn 4, then you should wait for a dragon draw. Use this turn to play Holy Nova, spirit lash to clear the board, or use silence and shadow word pain/death to remove and gain control. Playing cobalt scalebane is also acceptable, although it is not the best option against most of the meta boards by this turn.

Turn 6:

Lady In white! from here onwards the game is basically won. If you played lady in white this turn you get a 12/12 Ysera, 4/4 stonehill 3/3 Northshires and eggs. And the rest of the removal should be easy to reach, by using shadow visions, so you don’t lose advantage.

This deck is basically the Paladin counter, but also does really well against other decks overall. Really bad against Cubelock tho
