December Update:

Duskbreaker is the big pick up in the new set. It helps stabilize the early game and set up for dropping our mid-game threats. Really aggressive decks used to be a bigger problem, as we couldnt sweep effectively until turn 6. I don’t think I could have asked for a better early game card for the deck.

Other than that, not much else has changed.

Frozen Throne provided a few new Dragons to breath life back into the Dragon Priest deck. Namely Bone Drake  for inevitability, and Cobalt Scalebane  for added pressure. Shadowreaper Anduin  is also very powerful.

I can see people looking at Shadowreaper Anduin  and asking why play him with so many creatures with power 5 and above. While that’s true, Primordial Drake, Twilight Drake, and Book Wyrm survive the cut. There are also times when I don’t mind killing off Deathwing, Dragonlord. Wiping their board and gaining 3-6 Dragons can be devastating. Plus the card is good at closing out games on its own, turning those late game Northshire Clerics and Potion of Madness into extra hero power uses.

I’ve been playing this list with fairly good results, but admittedly feel like there could be some improvements. I like Kabal Songstealer,  but wonder if Mass Dispel  or Spellbreaker might be better at 4 mana. Alexstrasza might also be a slot which could be upgraded, and I have my eye on Ysera as the best candidate mainly due to better synergy with Deathwing, Dragonlord and Shadowreaper Anduin.

Check it out. Give it a spin. Let me know what you think.
