Mulligans

General Mulligans

Peasant is a conditional keep. Keep it when you go first against any class except DH, even mage since they have to waste a coin on a hero power to kill it which delays their quest. Going second, don't keep vs DH, hunter, mage, or priest.

Midrange Mulligans

Oracle often doesn't come down until turn 4 or 5, but it is just a key card for combos that you should generally keep it if you also have Battleguard, and keep it anyway versus slower decks or if you have coin and say Druid of the Reef.

Druid of the Reef  is the key addition to the deck from the Deadmines mini-set. Helpful as early protection or removal, and doubly effective with Oracle of Elune in play. It’s cheap, so the lack of synergy with Razormane Battleguard doesn’t hurt. I don’t think Jerry Rig is good enough since it only splits spells.

Cult Neophyte performs surprisingly well as a tech choice and it can be doubled by Oracle. While not a taunt, the battlecry can buy you a turn to set up lethal.

I went 34-17 with an earlier version of the deck that still had Vibrant Squirrel . Both are helpful in the late game, but I think the flexibility of Moonlit Guidance is a little better. Often if you can find a key card at the right time you can blow the game open. Moonlit is better than Nature Studies because you discover from your deck, can find minions not just spells, and may draw a card.

I started out 9-0 with the new version. I’m sure that will cool off with more games but there’s a reason Battleguard is being nerfed. We’ll see how strong the deck remains in the adjusted meta, but I think this is the strongest list for now.
