I’ve grown tired of boring Standard while awaiting the new expansion, so I challenged myself to try to climb the Wild ladder with my least-played class, Rogue. I was still 182 ranked wins away from Golden Rogue and wondered if I could get it before the expansion came out. I would have been happy with a WR slightly over 50%, but after almost a week and 90 games in, I am pleasantly surprised : I have compiled a 53-37 record, for a win rate of 58.8%. If I keep going at this pace, I have “only” 291 games left to play before getting win #500. And my friend wanted to bet that I couldn’t do it in 400 games! I should have taken that bet, or so it seems so far.

I started at rank 13, no star, and am now at 7, 4 stars with an ongoing 4-win streak. Here are my results against each class :

(Easiest match-ups) : Priest : 8-0, Shaman : 8-4 (This deck eats Even Shaman for breakfast!)

(Not hard but can be tricky) : Warlock : 8-5, Druid : 5-3, Mage : 6-2 (not many games and I feel like my record doesn’t reflect the difficulty of the match-up, I’ve been luckier than I should have been vs. the few Jaina’s I faced)

(Troublesome) : Hunter : 4-6 (definitely not an easy one, but since getting past Rank 10, they’ve almost completely disappeared and I don’t miss them at all), Paladin : 5-6 (could have easily been worst, Odd Paladin usually wins unless I get lucky), Rogue : 7-9 (also the class I’ve faced the most, not many fellow Odd Rogues but I’ve been especially unlucky against those; I still feel like Paladin is a worse match-up)

(Not enough games to classify) : Warrior : 2-2 (both wins were vs. Pirate Warrior and both losses vs. Odd, which is a very hard deck to beat but isn’t frequently seen)

I will post an update when I get to 100 wins out of 182. And a Mulligan guide if anyone shows interest, but I’m generally bad at Mulliganing so we’ll see how it goes.
