Deck Import

This style of Token Druid is still in the early stages of construction in the Frozen Throne meta, but with all these aggressive early game minions and ability to buff them it can easily overrun many current decks.

Knights of the Frozen Throne Update

I’ve swapped out Eggnapper for Druid of the Swarm. You don’t have to make this change, this deck is already pretty solid without it. Druid of the Swarm gives you flexibility and can deal with pesky taunts by going with the Poisonous option. Another consideration you can make is swapping out Argent Squire for Acherus Veteran. I like Squire better because it is more likely to survive, but Veteran allows you to trade up while developing a minion.

Crypt Lord probably belongs in this deck, but you are missing Living Mana and the Pirate Package which helps buff it and makes it better.

Future Druid Builds

If you’ve built this deck then you will want to push towards building the more meta version: Token Druid.

Budget Beast Token Druid Mulligan Guide

You really want 1-drops, especially Fire Fly and Enchanted Raven. You are looking for an early power play, which is why you also keep Innervate. This allows you to potentially play a crazy turn with multiple minions and a buff like Mark of the Lotus or Power of the Wild on turn 1 or 2. As long as you have a 1-drop in your hand already you should then keep Mark of the Lotus. I’ve always swapped Golakka Crawler for Dire Wolf Alpha. If you start running into a lot of Pirates then go ahead and swap back.

Only keep 1 Innervate or Mark of the Lotus, you mostly want minions in your hand.

Future Card Replacements for Budget Beast Token Druid

General Replacements

If you happen to have 2x Murloc Warleader and Finja, the Flying Star you can remove most of the Beast package and make it more murloc-centric (add Murlocs like Murloc Tidecaller, Bluegill Warrior, Rockpool Hunter, and Primalfin Lookout.

  • Pantry Spider – If you have the Karazhan expansion you can replace Vicious Fledgling with the spider.
  • Eggnapper – A fine card, but the initial body isn’t a Beast which can make it sometimes awkward.
  • Acherus Veteran – A possibly good addition to the deck, but is obviously better when you have a minion already on the board. Could still be played as a 2/1 body on turn one.
  • Crypt Lord – If you have it you can slot it in for Tar Creeper, but it’s better with Living Mana.
  • Crazed Alchemist – If you have Crypt Lord then Crazed Alchemist can help be a finisher for you. Buff up the health of Crypt Lord and then swap it for lethal. He can also be good with Tar Creeper and the 1/5 Taunts from Druid of the Swarm.

I played five games with this deck and won all five of them .

I took out one defender and put on a bitertide hydra, and I took out 1 druid of the swarm and put in Malfurion the Pestilent

Suuuper aggro deck, def fizzles past turn 6-7, though. If you haven’t won by turn 5, the chances of winning are drastically reduced. Subbed in Spellbreaker for Defender of Argus to take care of those bigger taunt creatures which will seriously bog down play in the later turns.

You’re right this deck is ultra aggressive which is why Living Mana is so good because you can force your opponent to waste their AOE early and then build a board back with Living Mana. Spellbreaker is a good tech card, I don’t mind that addition!

Is there a replacement for the golakka crawler? I don’t need something cheaper but is that the best card to have?

4 turn lethal against silence priest was pretty fun.

Any suggested upgrades other than Finja? I replaced one Defender and one Swipe for Bittertide Hydra and Living Mana which helps me if I can’t finish them off by mid game (either to counter their large taunt or if they wipe my board clear before, nothing like going from 0 minions to 7 4/4s with

Soo ive finnally joined the aggro druid order . Ive come to check to give me an idea of how to build an aggro deck(never did that) .

I went and made my own using this and the non budget version has ideas . I added 2 acolyte of pain , buffed up its almost 100% 2 card draws . Might add some removal other than silencing howls

    Hi there,

I tried your deck and well … it isn’t great at all.

No chance vs. Warriors with “Taunt Quest”; if you don’t receive your “1-cost” minions at the very beginning.

I tried it SEVEN times and lost SEVEN times very hard!!

    I deleted it immediately …

I tried the deck and like it. Took me from rank 23 to 13 in 3 days.

Maybe I’m lucky but no problems with Quest Warriors at all.. 5 games 4 wins..

And the deck is really great against Quest Rogue, 9 games 8 wins here.

I’m just having some real problems with all kinds of Shamans.. but, whatever, my win rate is good

But my list has 2x Tortollan Forager in place of 2x Golakkas (not facing Pirate decks in my rank)

Not his fault you cannot pilot a deck right.

I really liked the Tortollan Forager in the deck, so I add the Ravens and take off the Golakkas
