Galakrond's Awakening Adventure Guide - 35 New Cards, Four Chapters, Launches January 21!
Card amount is consistent, the rarity is not consistent, because it doesn’t really matter in case of Adventures ๐ You’re guaranteed to get all of those cards anyway, so adding Epics instead of Commons to one class doesn’t matter that they will be more difficult to get in packs or craft.
Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 1) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
I think that they pushed enough Treant synergies in Descent of Dragons, but who knows, maybe? I would like to see some good Dragon (or synergy card) – I was really hyped for some kind of Ramp Dragon Druid before the set, and it’s very fun to play, just not too strong ๐
Galakrond's Awakening Card Review #1 - Shotbot, Chaos Gazer, Amazing Reno, Winged Guardian, Grand Lackey Erkh, Sky Gen'Ral Kragg, The Fist of Ra-Den and more!
There are two options – either we get them all today (which wouldn’t be weird, that’s what they did in old adventures – dumped the final 20+ cards shortly before release) or we don’t learn anything about them until tomorrow’s release. We’ll probably learn more in an ~hour or so (because that’s when they would usually drop them). However, it’s a day off today in US so I don’t really know how they will handle it.
Hearthstone Wild Meta Decks Tier List - Scholomance Academy Update
Descent of Dragons Post-2nd Nerf Patch update done – thanks Corbett! It took so long because of crazy release & patch cycle this expansion, but we’ve finally decided to pull the trigger. Can’t wait forever. If necessary (so if the meta changes), we’ll do another update after Galakrond’s Awakening fully launches.

That would be neat, but I don’t think that it will be the case. So far no effect in the game forced you to make a choice – you only choose things when playing cards from your hand or using Hero Power (and Horror also follows this pattern).
Also, Scrolls of Wonder (https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/cards/scroll-of-wonder/) shuffled by Deck of Wonders don’t say anything about random targets, but the spells cast by those obviously have random targets.
I also think that if they would decide to do it this way, they would mention something in the Hero Power itself (like “You can choose targets”), because it’s a big and goes against anything we’ve ever seen in Hearthstone.

Sorry, it missed “low rolls” (but I also added another sentence to explain what I mean by low rolls in this case).

Yeah, I meant Explorer. Fixed it.
Sorry, my brain is often messing those similar card names. When CubeLock was popular I was often writing Kabal Lackey instead of Possessed Lackey for example :p Then even when I proofread it my brain still refused to see it as a mistake.

If you already pre-purchased, you won’t be able to redeem the code again, so you won’t get anything yourself I’m afraid.

I don’t think that it’s necessarily a missing space – Shadow Word: Death acts like a single target big minion removal in Control Priest decks, then later in the game either Forbidden Words or Plague of Death can be used as emergency big minions removal (FW is not optimal because it costs a lot, and Plague is not best when used against a single minion, but it can still be). The thing is that unless the meta demands it, you can’t really put too many big minions single target removals, since those usually are weak against Aggro (as well as some Midrange decks).
But I guess that if the meta would be full of high attack minions, the card would still be good. E.g. if Handlock was a very popular deck (like Galakrond Rogue right now :p), I would definitely run Aeon Reaver. But in the average meta, I just don’t think that Aeon Reaver is really necessary in slower Priest builds.

I don’t think it was confirmed/denied yet, but I’m like 99% sure that Erkh is not a Lackey. If he would count as a Lackey, he would also be generated by EVIL Miscreant and any other Lackey generator, and that wouldn’t make much sense.

Oh yeah, if you can hit either Electra or Eye of the Storm with Far Sight and play both on the same turn, it’s really good. 6x 5/6 Taunt is crazy – you put your opponent in a situation where he has to board wipe or he loses. But the chances of that happening are, like you’ve said, really small.

We would do a longer one like we usually do, but we’ve got the codes yesterday and really want to finish it before Galakrond’s Awakening launches so the winners can enjoy it right away. In other words, we haven’t got much time.
Hearthstone Epic Crafting Guide (Standard) - Scholomance Academy - September 2020
Crowd Roaster actually had ~2.5% play rate at the time I was writing this (which is not that bad), mostly in variants of Highlander Mage and Embiggen Druid, as well as some random Highlander Dragon Paladin builds. Masked Contender has seen play in some full Secret Hunter decks (although they’re rare) as well as certain versions of Highlander build. Haunting Vision I will probably remove – the card is played in some Galakrond Shaman builds, but let’s be honest, those are pretty bad after all of those nerfs (and even then the card is not necessary).
But in general, I would not recommend crafting any of the “Good” cards from Year of the Raven UNLESS you have lots of spare Dust and you really want to play a given deck. That’s mostly because those will rotate out in less than 3 months. The only one I could truly recommend to every Warrior player is – like you’ve mentioned – Town Crier. The card will bump your win rate by even a few %, it’s really amazing (and it’s in the “Best” section for Witchwood, by the way).
Hearthstone Epic Crafting Guide (Standard) - Scholomance Academy - September 2020
Epic Crafting Guide was just updated for the Descent of Dragons Post-Nerfs Meta. Just like Legendary Guide, it was a nightmare to update, because we didn’t have a single meta that was stable for more than a week because of constant nerf patches as well as the upcoming content releases. Still, I decided to push it out, because an update that will get outdated quickly is still better than no update at all.
I’ll try to push out another update after all of the Galakrond’s Awakening cards launch in February.
Galakrond's Awakening Adventure Guide - 35 New Cards, Four Chapters, Launches January 21!
Yeah, they’ve said that they will be using all the mechanics introduced in Year of the Dragon, so I would suspect a Scheme card making a comeback too!
Best Hearthstone Decks - Standard Meta Tier List - Whizbang's Workshop (May 2024)
Yeah, both versions are viable, and it mostly depends on the decks you face. According to HSReplay stats, faster version has higher win rate on average (at least at R10-Legend, those are the ranks I’m usually pulling stats for – it still has a big sample size, but it ignores the lower ranks where people play decks least optimally) and that’s why I’ve decided to feature that one.
It’s not out for me yet, but mobile patches tend to be up to a few hours late I’m afraid :/
