I’m not really sure about that “complete counter”. According to HSReplay stats, the deck has a 40/60 matchup vs Frost DK and 60/40 vs Evolve Shaman. So yes, it’s a solid deck against Evolve, but it still struggles to beat Frost DKs. And it has a lot of other bad matchups.

Maybe you found some build that works, but I think that the deck would be more mainstream if it countered two most popular and powerful meta decks.

I’ve been a proponent of the “rotating format” for a very long time. I think it would be really fun to have those ever-changing metas while still being able to play with some older cards.

It would also make things interesting by making tons of older cards viable. A card that’s weak in the current wild format might be very strong in this “pocket meta” of a given rotation.

However, the only thing I’m afraid of is the cost. Wild is more stable and it’s pretty easy to keep up with as long as you own the most important cards. With different cards being viable each rotation, players who haven’t been playing for years now would have a difficult time playing anything – and crafting things that will just rotate out very soon and then might not be playable in that format for years is a big ask. I think they would need to somehow make this kind of format cheaper and more accessible for it to be successful.

Yeah, I think it would be a good middle-groud. I’m just a bit worried about splitting the Wild population even further – the format is already not nearly as popular as Standard (it was in China, but that was an exception) and such eternal formats rarely appeal to new players (so the Wild community is probably shrinking rather than getting bigger).

Colossal minions were always excluded from the pool of random summons, including evolve effects. Not sure why Blizzard decided to do it, maybe because randomly summoning them would be too strong, but that was how they always worked – until Blazing Transmutation that is.

Yes, there will be no new Mercs added unless they change their mind for some reason.

Those weren’t removed because of China. Blizzard never said that, it was just a fan theory that honestly didn’t make sense.

It didn’t make sense because the Chinese game client already had alternative art for many cards (mostly depicting skeletons/corpses), so if it was about China they would just “censor” it there and nowhere else.

You’re correct about those Undead not being a part of the Battlegrounds taverns, you won’t see them in the game normally. However, in order to make Putricide’s pool of minions bigger and more interesting, you will be able to get them through his Hero Power.

It definitely is. Astalor has 70%+ play rate in Diamond-Legend. The card almost certainly is on the chopping block.

Tradeable is really one keyword they shouldn’t be abandoning like they do with most of the expansion-related ones.

If it was a Tier 1 deck then it would be a huge deal. But with the current DK power level, not being able to ban it gives no advantage… because no one would want to ban it anyway.

They seriously misjudged the power level of Death Knight – but in the other way compared to Demon Hunter. I’m honestly not sure which one is worse, haha.

Sadly we don’t know. Like Sun said, it’s usually 2-3 weeks, but it can be as short as 1 week and as long as over a month. So it’s just guessing at this point.

Before Runestones, every bundle was listed in the Battle.net shop too and it showed the date when it was leaving shop. I left some feedback for the devs saying that they should show it in-game but we’ll see, even if they agree they probably won’t implement it any time soon.

Maybe their line of thinking was that Diamond Liadrin is obtained by getting all of the MotLK Legendaries, so you don’t really “need” another random MotLK Legendary if you own all of them already?

If you purchase Pass before December 20 (that’s the cutoff from what I understand) then yes, you will be eligible for the compensation. Compensations will be given after December 20 so you won’t get anything right away, but you should get a random MotLK Legendary next week.

It doesn’t, Signature Cards don’t replace Legendaries in your cards, they’re “bonus” cards. If you didn’t get them you would get a Common (or Rare, I can’t remember) card instead.

The only downside is that they replaced Golden Legendaries from Mega Pre-Purchase Bundle :/

It wasn’t confirmed yet, but I think that there will be a regular mini-set for March of the Lich King too. That’s why I used air quotes when calling Path of Arthas “mini-set” 🙂

There will be no refunds for Legendaries from rewards track, they are replaced completely by the re-rolls.

Honestly it will be a bit hard to make an anti-DK deck since all three Runes play differently and have different weaknesses.

We’ll first have to see which DK decks end up being most popular and successful, and then we can come up with something that counters them 🙂

No idea, someone at Team 5 really likes the class. Mage has most cosmetics of all classes in general, including skins.
