Hearthstone 33.2.2 Patch Teaser - Standard & Battlegrounds Balance Update
Either that or the mini-set is going to add MASSIVE support for Quest decks.
Which, honestly, is also not a great thing. If their original plan for the Quest decks was to wait for the mini-set before they become viable, that’s a terrible design decision.
Warlock Quest (Escape the Underfel) Banned in Arena
August 5*
I don’t think they will – no new season was announced in the 33.2 patch notes.
Warlock Quest (Escape the Underfel) Banned in Arena
Oh, I just realized that you probably mean Standard balance adjustments ๐
33.2 Patch Notes still weren’t announced so there’s a chance we’ll see some soon. I would very much hope so, because I’m really tired of the current Standard meta.
Warlock Quest (Escape the Underfel) Banned in Arena
To be fair, current Arena meta is probably the most balanced one we had in a long time. It’s still not perfect, but it’s insane how close things are compared to the last few seasons before Arena remake.
Right now the worst class – Paladin – is sitting around 48% win rate according to HSReplay stats (with Warlock at the top with 55%, but it might change after Quest ban).
Before Arena remake, we had a few classes down to 30-35% win rate range. We had some metas where only 2-3 classes were above 50% WR. That was real bad.
Shop Update: New & Returning Hero Skins, Signature Bundles
It actually is an error in shop preview, he has mecha-tentacles in game.
But I don’t blame you for doubting them ๐
Shop Update: Tavern Pass, Darkmoon Faire Treasures, New & Returning Hero Skins and more
Sorry for only just replying but your comment was caught in the filter, probably for having the link.
Thanks for letting me know, I somehow haven’t even noticed it. I’m glad that Blizzard started to distinguish them in-game. I’ll use the “lite” and “full” skin nomenclature from now on then ๐
Is This the New Meta? Lost City of Un'Goro After the First Balance Patch
Demonic Studies is there so you can actually play some minions without playing minions (because you want Dorian to consistently hit Agamaggan from Cursed Catacombs).
Well, the easiest win con is obviously Dorian into Agamaggan… but that’s not always going to work (as you’ve seen). You can still hope to get 1 mana Fyrakk from Dorian and high-roll it. Getting Ysera from Dorian to ramp is also nice, if you pull it off on Turn 6 you then have 10 mana next turn, so you can immediately play 10 mana Agamaggan with something else. Play it with Kerrigan for 11 damage burst + 3 damage board clear, or with Bob to freeze the enemy board for example.
Then there are 8/8’s from Ultralisk Cavern, random Demons from Demonic Studies… Then there’s Shaladrassil, I didn’t experience THAT much hand size issues with the deck, but it really depends on what cards you draw.
In other words, if you draw Agamaggan before Dorian, it’s a bit tough, but there are still some outs. You basically have to adapt depending on the matchup and what options you currently have. Some matchups you can just win by surviving, in others you have to play more aggressively. Your win rate with no combo is obviously much lower, but on average it’s boosted by the fact that combo is often just an instant win.
E.T.C., Band Manager Temporarily Banned Due To An Exploit
I hope that the issue gets resolved early next week and it gets unbanned. But for now a lot of people will have to change their Wild decks ๐
King Krush is The First Interactive Pet Coming to Hearthstone
I edited the “any format” part, I completely forgot that Mercenaries exists (and the official blog post doesn’t mention it at all). We’ll have to see in practice, but I honestly doubt it. It’s a dead mode so any amount so I wouldn’t expect any amount of support ๐
All Signature Cards from The Lost City of Un'Goro Expansion
I don’t believe the Signature version of The Origin Stone has been revealed yet. But I’ll add it here as soon as I find it ๐
Masters Tour: Spring Championship 2025 Viewers Guide (June 6-8)
I picked maxie, but I also thought about Gaby, Pocket and Furyhunter. The line-up is really stacked so it’s hard to pick the best player, there’s no clear favorite.
The Lost City of Un'Goro Guide - New Hearthstone Expansion - Card Reveals, Release Date, New Mechanics, and More!
There are 145 cards in The Lost City of Un’Goro (just like in any other expansion).
But I added Sharp-Eyed Lookout to this list since it’s also a new card releasing soon and I thought it would be nice for people to see it. It will be available from an in-game event in a couple of weeks. I explain it under the “Neutral Epics” section.
So there are 145 Un’Goro cards + 1 Event card here (for 146 in total).
But thank you for paying close attention to details like that ๐
The Lost City of Un'Goro Guide - New Hearthstone Expansion - Card Reveals, Release Date, New Mechanics, and More!
We probably don’t have enough of them for it to make sense, and the ones already in game have no tribal synergies. They could probably force them in this expansion, but maybe it didn’t make sens design-wise.
Quilboar also didn’t make sense but they were getting added to Battlegrounds so Blizzard just decided to slap the minion type on Constructed cards as well for consistency ๐
Which makes me think, maybe it’s finally time for a new minion type in BG…
Hearthstone Arena Revamp Details, New Season Launches on June 2
I don’t think it was confirmed yet, but I plan to keep a run going. I assume it should work like it always did. Not sure if we’ll get the regular Arena or Undeground rewards though.
Shop Update: Wild Bundles
“Also, there was 1 other thing new to the shop and that was the random year of the Wolf signature for 4000 gold.”
Thanks, I just checked it and you’re right. It wasn’t there when I took the screenshots before posting this.
I noticed that recently some bundles might not show up at 10 AM PT as they did before. Sometimes they release up to a few hours after the initial drop. I don’t know why that is, but there have been a few weeks where I’m sure that I screenshotted everything but then something new appeared later.
Hearthstone 32.2.1 Patch Notes - Battlegrounds & Arena Updates, Bug Fixes
Because of Trinkets or just general imbalance?
I honestly quite like Trinkets as a concept, but for a semi-casual player (me) it’s a bit hard to keep up with them. Especially tracking what trinkets my opponents have (which might make a big difference in combat) is quite difficult. But we really need a bigger balance update in general, because minion types don’t seem very balanced right now.
Libram Paladin - Top 100 Legend (Glory) - Into the Emerald Dream
Play your 1-2 drops, buff them with all you’ve got, play cheap Flickering Lightbot/Libram of Faith/Sea Shanty in the mid game for high tempo board refills.
Free New & Returning Players Decks for Into the Emerald Dream, 6 Loaner Decks To Choose From
I’m sorry to hear it. Discover Hunter was nerfed pretty hard in the last patch, which happened a couple of weeks after I wrote this post. Right now it should still be playable but no longer nearly as strong as it was early in the expansion.
I’d have to take a closer look at those decks again in the current meta and edit the post.
I do applaud your commitment! But by the time I read your comment, Blizzard already posted patch notes ๐
