Hearthstone World Championship 2022 Guide, Two Free Packs From YouTube Drops, December 16-18

It’s time for the final and most important competitive Hearthstone event of 2022 – World Championship. 16 players from around the world who managed to qualify through Masters Tour & Seasonal Championship tournaments will face each other for their share of $500k prize pool and 2022 Hearthstone Champion title.

The event will be played in a brand new meta since the expansion has only been out for a bit over a week. There’s also a special rule saying that the new class – Death Knight – cannot be banned. But interestingly enough, none of the players brought it, which is not that unexpected given its current (rather low) power level. Blizzard didn’t want to push a bigger balance update right before the tournament, so the meta will mostly consist of Priests, Rogues, Demon Hunters and Druids (with a few Mages & Paladins here and there).

YouTube drops will also be active. Watch the tournament on any of the official streams for two hours to get a single March of the Lich King pack, watch for two more (four hours in total) for a second pack. Watch time is cumulative over the whole weekend, so you don’t have to do it in a single sitting. Just make sure that your YouTube and Battle.net accounts are connected.

Death Knight cannot be banned. But none of the players brought it. LOL so ridiculous.

If it was a Tier 1 deck then it would be a huge deal. But with the current DK power level, not being able to ban it gives no advantage… because no one would want to ban it anyway.

They seriously misjudged the power level of Death Knight – but in the other way compared to Demon Hunter. I’m honestly not sure which one is worse, haha.

look on the bright side, Death Knight. At least you’re not Warrior right now.
