There are no really safe crafts yet. Sure, if you will play with Galakrond, you want some synergy cards, and there are some cards like Faceless Corruptor that are really having a major impact already, but you typically want to craft decks and not individual cards, so it is hard to say which cards will be in decks you want to play.

Of these decks, I’m expecting Warlock and Rogue to work reasonably well, but I have not yet had a chance to test them. Shaman should also be fine, although missing out on Thunderhead can be a big deal. I played a bunch of Priest today, but it might be too slow against Pirate Warrior, I’ll see if I can make it faster.

You can definitely build a non-Quest Dragon list. This is just not that deck. You do not need to Breath of Dreams on turn two.

There are 4 Invoke cards in the deck, and yes, upgrading just once is viable.

I have played with Brightwing a fair bit, and really like the card, especially in value-based Highlander decks. That said, you can replace it with one of the other dragons we’re getting.

Yes, Jaraxxus’s Hero Power is finally viable now, but you still need to hit some Demons from the Tavern or the Hero is useless. Sometimes you find them, sometimes you don’t. There are only 9 Demons in the game (including Amalgam) as compared to 23 Mechs, for example, which makes it more difficult to find them reliably.

Warrior does not have any class cards that have synergy with Sathrovarr. It can still use the Neutral cards, maybe go for some Highlander synergies, but there is nothing Warrior-specific to talk about.

Well, you build an entire board and it is resurrected at the end of each battle. So you can improve your army every round. Other than that, you got the idea.

For someone new to auto battlers, I think Battlegrounds can be great! In its current form, it’s for you if you just want to play casually, but if you want to play hardcore, you might need to look for one of its competitors. We’ll see how the development goes during the beta and whether Blizzard finds a way to add longevity to the game while keeping it simple.

I dislike overtly random elements in general. I’ve played Hearthstone since beta, and have always hoped that the game would take a less random path, but it never has, and I expect it never will.

So, I’m not too thrilled about Battlegrounds as a hardcore gaming experience, but auto battlers are fun games and it might provide a good casual experience. Who knows where the development will go during the beta, it might also work out better in the long-term than I’m currently estimating.

I’ve seen Zephrys give Windfury spell for lethal against a Hunter with a Secret up, and that Secret turned out to be Pressure Plate that killed the buffed minion. Zephrys also offered Pyroblast at the same time, that would have been lethal the following turn. So he tends to offer you options for lethal if there are multiple, so that you can use your own knowledge of possible secrets and try to play around them.

You freeze the board so that your minions can hit face more. That’s how current freeze mage works too, it rarely shoots spells anymore.

Yes, Voodoo Doll is to avoid some non-synergistic spells.

Luna’s is borderline viable here, I’m not sure if there are enough minions for it. It is an option, of course.
