That card was actually really really good when combined with Instructor Fireheart. I once chained together about 20 spells in one turn thanks to a couple Archeologists.

It looks good but it just doesn’t feel like a legendary effect.
They could have put this effect on an Epic and given Anetheron some sort of unique effect, like something that goes really well with the quest to summon him.

Super solid card, probably the card to make Quest Druid viable if that ends up happening.

This plus Perpetual Flame. Absolutely devastating.

I think it might be great for DK Uther in wild. They won’t have to run the quest anymore to get coins.
I’m sure other combo decks could use this as well.

In standard I’m not so sure, most games on average I don’t think getting a coin is worth giving your opponent a coin, even if theirs is delayed.

Maybe that’s why there’s also 2 Paladin nerfs coming with the set

I’d say the mage one might be the worst, since Mage isn’t in any way lacking card draw, they don’t want to run minions, and the very few Frost spells they have aren’t that great so the 1/1s will likely never get summoned.

That being said, I think I’ll try using one in my Reno Mage deck to draw LPG more consistently.

You can very easily run only nature spells in Shaman. 16/26 spells are Nature, including Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bloom, Landslide, Rockbiter Weapon, Serpentshrine Portal, Storm Strike, Dunk Tank, and more.
Worst case scenario it’s a 3 mana 2/3 that draws you a card, which is something Shaman is sorely missing, but if you run Nature spells and elementals you get another free draw.

I’m disappointed that Priest is getting a huge nerf as well.

You can give a diamond card taunt with stuff like Sunfury Protector etc. It looks really cool.

Can’t wait to see the animations on the diamond Rag.

Also I hope the next diamond card has taunt because the diamond taunt border looks SO COOL.

Sky Gen’ral Kragg was also a really good neutral legendary, but with all the quests rotating out at the same time he would have been a dead card anyway.

Discover effects and other RNG stuff is looking a lot stronger, now that a lot of the low-rolls from classic either got buffed or rotated out.
