Tavern Brawl - Yellow-Brick Brawl
Turns out an aura that gives Taunt to minions works really well with a card that rarely ever sees play. I am talking about Plaguemaw the Rotting!
This deck shuts down any deck that doesn’t have spell-based minion removal. Just stall until you have enough mana to throw out a Plaguemaw + any 1-drop (make sure the 1-drop gets the Taunt aura, NOT the charge aura). The following turn, protect Plaguemaw with cards like Robes of Protection and Obsessive fan!
# Brawl Deck
# Class: Druid
# Format: Wild
#
# 1x (0) Aquatic Form
# 1x (0) Innervate
# 1x (1) Banshee
# 1x (1) Biology Project
# 1x (1) Crowd Surfer
# 1x (1) Druid of the Reef
# 1x (3) Robes of Protection
# 1x (3) Spawn of N’Zoth
# 1x (4) Obsessive Fan
# 1x (4) Plaguemaw the Rotting
Another good deck idea that I faced was Evolve Shaman, because turns out whenever you evolve a minion, it re-gains the charge from the aura, and thus gets to attack again. The list I faced used revolve, which happened to be a great counter to Plaguemaw.
The Winners and Losers of the Big Festival of Legends Buff Balance Patch
Let’s just hope the upcoming miniset contains a very big boi demon that’s worth cheating out for Warlock.
The Winners and Losers of the Big Festival of Legends Buff Balance Patch
The warlock fatigue package is quite bad for some slower decks. The Imp has negative synergy with Big Demon action, and you generally don’t want to abuse your own face in a control-style deck.
Which gets me to my second point: It’s a shame that they only really ended up buffing Imp Warlock, a no-fun forced archetype.
Big demon/undead-style decks are actually really fun to play in my opinion, but it seems they don’t want to push it at all. Couldn’t Dirge deal a bit more damage? maybe go to 2 damage at 5 mana? it’s often being cut from the only deck that it is supposed to be good in…
Hearthstone 26.0.4 Patch Notes - Death Knight Discovery Changes, Constructed, Battlegrounds & Duels Balance Changes + Bug Fixes
I don’t think the 2-3 damage was considered fun by anyone…
Hearthstone 26.0.4 Patch Notes - Death Knight Discovery Changes, Constructed, Battlegrounds & Duels Balance Changes + Bug Fixes
The change to discover is actually huge. I think you’re underestimating just how much that might impact the class.
don’t get me wrong, they’ll still be playable, but the nerf will be felt.
Tavern Brawl - Aviana's Night

MAIN IDEA: super buff minions in your deck with Lor’Themar and Blackrock and roll, then proceed to cheat them out with cards like Party Crasher and Flesh Behemoths which pull Thaddius.
A very cheap deck, consisting mostly of core cards, with some common and rares. A nice FREE legendary to top it off, in Blademaster Okani:

MAIN IDEA: Play big stats, win big prices.
-Jaraxxus gives a way to use that early mana without it feeling wasted.
-Contains a couple ways to discover, to get the ACTUALLY GOOD cards. You don’t need them though.
-A naive opponent might be caught off-guard by a Ysera the dreamer, as she has a way to get rid of a taunt and an gain an extra 4 damage.
-Stoneborn General turns out to be very good for this brawl. Definitely a card to mulligan for.

How Many Classes Would Be Ideal for Hearthstone? What New Classes Might Come Next?
Death Knight at launch was rather weak. They gave it a couple buffs and it reached a good spot. It is only in their failure to see how Death Knight could overtake the meta after rotation due to not losing any cards, that it is now doing TOO well.
But that is not unique to Death Knight.
In my opinion, the launch of Death Knight was great.
Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks - Festival of Legends Week 2 - April 2023
I’m honestly hoping they don’t ban Instrument Tech in wild, because that would just punish other decks doing inoffensive things as well. I know I’m having fun with a Big Demon Warlock in the lower ranks.
Hearthstone's Death Knight Problem: The Balance Changes Festival of Legends Needs to Rock
I do think Paladin needs some nerfs, as it is busting mostly anything besides Death Knight and Demon Hunter, which are bound to get nerfs. If their worst matchups get hit, they’ll only get a higher winrate.
I doubt they’ll change Symphony of Sins, because I think they’ll want to keep the flavour of it having 7 sins, with the number 6 appearing in its cost and symphonies, as it is the devil’s number.
I also don’t think it’s Symphony of Sins that’s the issue here. To me it seems it’s the class’ overall performance that’s holding the spell down, not the other way around.
If they were to change anything to it however, I would like to be able to choose from 4 symphonies initially, instead of 3.
Drum Circle is not the kind of card I would like to see as a finisher for aggressive druid decks. You were talking about how it’s feelbad when you can’t remove Lady S’theno from the board, but how about an entire board with taunts and major health gains? Even if you’re not dead straight away, that’s very tough to remove.
That is not to say the card shouldn’t get a buff. I just don’t think it should get a buff for the reason given here.
Ultimately, it’s gonna be rough to see which one will reign above all others after the balance patch. Blood DK is bound to get hit, and it seems like it’s one of the few decks that runs favourably in some potentially very oppressive decks. If the buffs and nerfs are not considered carefully, we might just be looking at a meta full of Totem Shaman, Pure Paladins and Outcast Demon Hunters. I’d rather have the current meta over that any day.
All Reworked Signature Cards From The Festival of Legends Hearthstone Expansion
Warlock is crying in a corner with no Diamond cards and no new signature cards besides F-tier Void Virtuoso…
Death Metal Knight
Okay I made a mistake on the effect… You can’t cheat this out alongside the weapon, but it still works ok with it.
Dirge of Despair
I think Warlock is short a few big demons for this to see competitive play. If it does get those demons though… I can see this! Big demon Warlock is quite fun in my opinion, so I have high hopes that later down this year or the next, we’ll see some more big demons to cheat out.
2.5/5 currently, but quickly becomes closer to 4/5 with additional support
Death Metal Knight
With the new Arcanite Ripper, you can cheat it out on turn 3 alongside that weapon. Also has great synergy with it. Outside of that, though… It’s not bad, but can Blood DK find a spot for this?
3/5
Hardcore Cultist
Basically only good if you pull of the finale. Might see play as an early anti-aggro tool, but otherwise I’d imagine frost DK has better things to do.
2.5/5
Arcanite Ripper
This can scale pretty well. Since you’re hitting your weapon into stuff, you gain damage at least twice. Pair that with any healing or health-gain and you’ve got a pretty good deathrattle. All that on a 3/2 stick.
4/5
Boneshredder
The upper bound is clearly great, with Cagehead to summon two 9/9 Charge Taunt Blightboars. On curve though… I guess you can bust some eggs and it will be fine enough. 5 corpses is a lot though.
3.5/5
Screaming Banshee
There are cards this works well with, but I fear the 5 upfront cost to play this minion is just a bit too much. Maybe I’m wrong. I think it will be cut from most lists that try to use this.
2.5/5
This one’s cool also! The idea is to finish the “The Caverns Below” quest by shadowstepping Bloodsail Flybooter a bunch, play the quest reward and finish it with a Recurring Villain (on the taunt side). Since the quest reward always sets his attack to 5, he’s immortal!
