Huge Balance Update Teased – 4 Constructed Nerfs & 25 Buffs + 4 Battlegrounds Nerfs Coming on Thursday

Blizzard has just teased a big, BIG update coming soon! We already suspected that they will drop a new patch this week, but what we didn’t suspect is that it will contain so many buffs. The patch will drop in 2 days (on Thursday) and contain a total of 4 nerfs & 25 buffs in Constructed. It will also come with four Battlegrounds Buddy changes (and maybe some Armor changes too, but those are quite common and never teased ahead of time).

Here’s a full list of nerfs & buffs. Keep in mind that because this is only a teaser, we know WHICH cards are getting changed, but we don’t know HOW they’re getting changed. The cards listed below are still in their current form – it’s just meant to be a visual representation of targeted cards (because it’s sometimes hard to make them out of the icons).

    no frostwyrms fury and no patchwerk nerf, just remove dk as a whole and the game will maybe be palyable again

    I know that keeping all those extra copies of rowdy fan was a good idea :D.

    One only nerf for wild is not enough, you must nerf also the 1 spell legendary spell for druid, the kingsbane, all big priest card and delete quest mage (there are other card, but this is a great start).

    I’m pretty new to actually pushing rating in standard, but does dk (especially blood) not have a ridiculous amount of sustain plus removal that just outclasses everything? Thier removal is fairly cheap, they have both strong single removal and board clear, with card draw and lifesteal baked in. It makes it a joke of a class to play against.

    Poor warrior, blizard indeed HATE that class so much that they even dont consider it in the buffs.
    and about the nerfs, i dont see the point if they dont want to touch DK (increasing the corpses need for most spells would be great).

    my nerf/buff predictions:

    NERFS:
    Rowdy Fan: +4 attack -> +3 attack
    Overseer Frigidara: 5/6 -> 5/4
    Twig: Gain 10 mana -> refresh 10 mana

    BUFFS:
    WARRIOR:
    Rock Master Voone: 4 mana -> 3 mana
    Both riffs: -1 mana cost
    Power Slider: 1/2 -> 1/3
    Frightened Flunky: 2/2 -> 2/3
    Shield Block: 3 mana -> 2 mana
    Thori’belore: limited revives -> ‘infinite’ revives

    MAGE:
    Spitelash Siren: 5 mana -> 4 mana
    Infinitize the Maxitude: 2 mana -> 1 mana
    Arcane Artificer: 1/2 -> 1/3
    Audio Splitter: 3 mana 4/3 -> 2 mana 3/2

    HUNTER:
    Stranglethorn Heart: 10 mana -> 8 mana
    Halduron Brightwing: Give spells +1 spell damage -> give them +2 spell damage

    SHAMAN:
    Jazz Bass: 2/2 -> 3/2
    Altered Chord: deal 5 -> deal 6
    Lightning Storm: overload (2) -> overload (1)
    Flowrider: (Actually no clue)

    WARLOCK:
    Crescendo: 3 mana -> 2 mana
    Crazed Conductor: 4/5 -> 5/5
    Siphon Soul: 5 mana -> 4 mana

    ROGUE: (because god forbid rogue doesn’t do disgusting stuff any expansion)
    Record Scratcher: 2/2 -> 3/2
    MC Blingtron: 5 mana -> 4 mana

    PRIEST:
    Holy Nova: 4 mana -> 3 mana

    DRUID:
    Kiri, chosen of Elune: 4 mana -> 3 mana
    Death Blossom Whomper: (again, no clue)

    Glad they already buff so many cards, was afraid they do the regular first nerf and buff later approach.
    Yes, we had a small nerf patch already but I don’t count that as the regular ones we usually get.
    Let’s see how broken rogue might become with a record scratcher buff though.
    Overall curious about the system changes to DK, as it will decide if it’s shaking things up or not (I guess it will).
