Yes, the leftmost Legend (dunno which one it was, it was over so fast) ‘shot’ at me with a swing-like animation that resulted in me taking some damage and the ‘Draw’ screen. *shrug*

Regarding the route of play: How did you handle the 7/5 Ravenholt Assassin and that legendary that deals 5 with it’s deathrattle?

Yeah, that’s one of the stupidest matches.

As I understand it, it is a long and complex puzzle with (only?) one right chain of events.

You might have noticed, that you always get the same cards – opening hand, mulligan, cards drawn … you name it. And opponent is doing roughly the same (playing 1st shadow on 4, playing his blade and ‘poisoning it’ etc.) BUT it differs depending on your line of play.

I was able to kill 4 shadows once, only to face 4 legendaries that killed me then because I was on 3 life. That game ended in a draw.

So, imho, you need to find a way to defeat 4 shadows and preserve as much of your life as possible to endure the damage you get from those 4 legendaries in the end. It was over very quickly in my match (the 1st attack killed me), but what I saw was maybe a combined attack power of 10, maybe a little bit more.

I guess we just have to wait a day or so until someone figures out the way to play that match. 😉

Until then, I hope I get to open my Rogue packs (not working, see above 🙁 ).

Haha, not so fun bug.

I can’t open the packs. I drag them to the ‘opening field’, press space, swipe with my finger (on mobile device)… no pack opened. Pack counter goes from 5 to 4 while doing this … and switches back to 5.

Any ideas? Do I need to open a support ticket? o.0

@Stonekeep – I’m a little late to reply and maybe my questions are answered somewhere (so sorry for ‘re-asking’ them) but it would be so kind of you to answer them (if you can).

I must say I’m pretty confused for how the Core Set works. Until lately, I thought it’ll be Standard exclusive, which would make everything simple – no collection overlap between changed cards.

But as it seems, the Core Set WILL be available in Wild … and that’s where I’m starting to be confused. 😉

So, just 2 examples / cards to explain my confusion:

1. Flamestrike – gets buffed in the Core Set. What happens in my collection? Do I have 2 x 2 Flamestrikes, the ‘old’ one and the Core Set version? Or will the Basic one be permabuffed and I’ll only see the buffed version (nongolden and golden)?

2. Coldarra Drake – let’s say I own a normal and a golden copy of it. In my understanding of your statement ‘old expansion versions of all the cards changed for Core Set will also get the same changes’, those copies will get permabuffed. But what will my collection look like: Do I see 6 Coldarra Drakes (2 CS nongolden, 2 CS golden + my 2 copies)? Will my copies be ‘integrated’ in the CS copies but I’ll keep them next year when CS Coldarra Drake rotates out?

I’m pretty sure there are many other strange constellations when it comes to changed CS cards …

Maybe speaking for a minority here but as much as I like the skins, I won’t buy bundles without actual cards… Funny thing is, I think I WOULD buy the bundle if there where ‘card cosmetics’ (alternate artwork for selected cards to match the Three-Kingdoms-storyline). So I’m kinda contradicting my own statement …

tl;dr: Just Hero skins is too little for me.

So … to understand that right … let’s say Brawl gets added to the Core Set and I own 2 golden copies of it right now in the Classic Set … those two copies will then be shown in my Wild collection and in Standard I’ll have two non-golden copies that are ‘temporary’?

And this sentence makes no sense imho: ‘…all Classic cards and their Golden versions will now be craftable and disenchantable…’. Because, well, they are right now!? Amiright?

Last but not least, while Classic HS sounds cool, the meta will be solved in like 10 seconds and this will be the most boring meta ever. 😉 I really can’t see the long-term motivation in that game mode.

Besides all of that, FINALLY! Dreams come true. It’s gonna be awesome!

The thing is … Blizzard more than once stated that uninteractive combo OTKs aren’t their thing. So I asume, Tiller (and all other on attack triggers imho) are meant to trigger once, because outside of combos (and windfury) there is just 1 attack per turn.

tl;dr: They should change ALL on attack triggers to ‘only triggers once’. Problem solved, Hysteria unnerfed.

And I think the ‘design space limitations’ are marginal.

Oh btw much weaker against Stealth Rogue now.

Out of the 7 times I played the card so far, 5 times was on my ‘Apotheosis-ed’ minion. The first thing I thought when I saw the nerf was ‘f**k now it’s no emergency lifegain against aggro anymore’. So, yeah … 😉

One thing I’d like to note: With buying actual packs, there’s the slight chance to open golden copies of the new cards. You (obviously) don’t get those when purchasing the bundle.

Valid point indeed. I for myself can’t play any Shaman deck because I’m missing several cards from DF.

I get your point in that (and why) most players netdeck, but as you can see with some lists that pros ‘invent’ and that then take over there IS room for development in every phase of any meta.

But obviously, trying out offbeat cards / decks by oneself is harder than simply netdecking tried-and-true lists.
