I’m one of the few people who got the pet. You can’t disable it (I really wish you could). I might just quit ranked completely. Also, the sounds it makes during the game is annoying as hell.

I agree 100%. I only want the golden pack, too and because I don’t want the pet, I’ll probably end up getting it. All the cosmetic junk on Hearthstone is a money grab that doesn’t affect how the game is played other than wondering who you’re playing because there are too many skins.

The price of these skins is ridiculous and only seems to be getting worse. $10 is a little more reasonable for the average player. I haven’t bought any of the new skins. They’re a total rip-off unless you are able to write it off as a business expense.

What happened to the pre-purchase packs for the new expansion? I don’t have anything in the shop other than card packs – no mercenaries stuff or battlegrounds stuff either. Does anybody else have this problem/bug?

Great article. The monetary and time demands of Hearthstone are totally unreasonable now. Few players have the time to grind through 50+ levels to get some gold. The new system actually encourages people to use bots.

I don’t play much Demon Hunter, but these decks look like a good time for me and a bad time for my opponent.

In the title of the article it reads $34.99/34.99EUR. I am assuming the first number is US dollars.

So why does this new mega pack cost $62.99Cdn? If the packs were $34.99US, they should only cost $46.20Cdn. Somebody at Hearthstone screwed up with the conversion.

I have always loved your card reviews and ratings (for the obvious reasons!). Your articles are a great help for me in deck building and trying out new card combinations. I could wait a week after a new expansion and just copy a deck, but I enjoy tweaking my original decks to get them “just right” for the particular rank I’m at at any given time.

Really interesting article! Thanks for putting all that time and effort in writing, speculating, pondering, etc. about the new expansion. I never played WoW (too busy working six day weeks in the day), so I really enjoy learning about the characters in WoW and the lore/history.
