Team 5 has been doing a great job ever since Ben Brode left Blizz; rastakhan’s aftertaste still lingers in my tastebuds. They evolved the game from a failed boring state to something you can play all year long with multiple modes that are seeing success FOR FREE

Battlegrounds qualifies as a standalone game and f2p as well. Also with the new reward tracker u kinda get compensated the 2500 u pay to enjoy the full experience of BGs

Mercenary is, to my understanding of other ppls comments, a gacha game and theyre pretty famous for being holy expensive compared to HS. 7DS for instance is extremely popular and is by far the best I have tried but needs 100$ a month at the bare minimum to keep up with their greedy devs

HS on the other hand requires 240$ a year and gives you tons of golden value, portraits, cosmetics and access to BGs

Mercenaries qualifies as a standalone game imo and requires as much as 0$ for you to “have fun”, if you plan on getting competitive then you should most probably pay a 100$ which once again, imo, isnt that expensive at all

If u arent low on dust u shud save extra cards till at least next expansion; in my case, since witchwood i started saving all extras till the card rotates

Reno’s battlecry makes perfect sense if he is a bronze dragon. The only thing bugging me is, can a bronze dragon be a mage?? As far as I know, mage dragons are supposed to be from the blue dragon flight and the ones serving dalaran. I haven’t heard of dual classes in wow lore before unless, as you mentioned above, a certain artifact gave him access to certain mage spells or abilities

SW:Pain is only better if enemy minion has 4+ hp and demands immediate removal

Its an octopus with 8 tentacles and has the number 8 in every stat plus draw 8 cards deathrattle, most probably a meme card althou I dont know if there is a certain reference to it in Uldum lore. Definitely good in arena and an insta 400 dust in case, God forbids, lady luck abandoned you

I assume that after u play equality, in some cases where minions are buffed passively such as rogue quest or prenerf murloc warleader, minions shud have 1 hp + “n” hp with “n” being the buff stat
There might be a bug that ignores the “n” hp part and thus connects certain board clear combos like wild pyromancer + equality.
Thats only my assumption since I haven’t seen it in practice

For the record, this enables rez priest AGAIN, a deck that most non priest players hate

Given you are playing against a non aggro deck:

Kelthuzad can be countered with 1 board clear, rez priest keeps rezing big combo minions till you are either out of board clears or just brace yourself for the incoming mindblast barrage

To all the optimistic warlock fanboys out there, a good high cost control legendary card is usually one that greatly impacts the state of the board the turn it is played (Bloodreaver Guldan, Zuljin, Nzoth, Shudderwock, Lord Godfrey, etc) . Ofc, Ysera and the Lich King are great legendaries but they arent as reliable for comebacks in case you are behind and enemy has a strong board presence. Betrug demands alot for so little, you need to play an overpriced minion and draw the perfect minion for the perfect situation (imagine drawing Hireek or Godfrey). The risks heavily outweigh the rewards and in case you gain board control and have the luxury of playing Betrug, it still wouldn’t be worth it. I would rather invest the 10 mana in developing my board rather than a 5/7 vanilla that gives the opponent info of my hand (the minion summoned from would die anyway) . That being said, if i correctly recall, Hadronox and Kathrena found homes in solid decks an expansion after their release so if team 5 decides they want Betrug to be a thing, you never know.

I got both of them golden and unfortunately the answer is no, kinda disappointing since they are golden legendaries
