Golden Standard Pack Will Be Awarded For Completing All Book of Heroes Chapters, Error Will Get Fixed In This Week's Patch (Update: "At A Later Date")
Hooray! I was wondering about that.
Special note for new players: the “pity” counter for Legendaries works on Standard packs like this. So if you haven’t got a legend in your first ten of these, may want to save it for this one. Worth the dust even if its crap.
21.0.3 Balance Update - Eight Constructed Card Nerfs + Five Battlegrounds Hero Buffs - Coming Tomorrow (August 17)
From what I watched at GMs, Mage and Warlock are way over-represented. And the DH combo was just dumb. Take that Questline Hunter to Wild – it’s working well there.

Handbuff Paladin is strong but it’s the burst damage that wins game. Conviction would often be a one mana fireball and Battlemaster also sealed games allowing this deck to go off by doubling attacks. One mana – or one turn rather – is often the difference between winning and losing. Time will tell though.

Good nerfs. Didn’t think they would touch the quest. That Ilgynoth combo sucks to lose to so good riddance. All these nerfs are good. Like said earlier, not sure about the Granite Forgeborn nerf. Surprised they didn’t up his mana cost by 1.
Zero Dark Cheesy: Why Cost Reduction Should Be Capped in Hearthstone
Great article as always. It’s funny that it seems the most non-interactive experiences in Hearthstone are led by mana reduction shenanigans. Stealer of Souls with current Quest Warlock, Incanter’s Flow in Mage… like you, I could go on forever. And worst is these matches, when watched, leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth. Saw lots of these during Grandmasters this past weekend.
If anything, Team 5 should read this when considering the upcoming nerfs. Mana reductions should be a prime target.
Top 10 Best Standard Decks From First Week of United in Stormwind
Agreed. Face Hunter just has to go face, doesn’t need a huge minion presence. I think so many people are trying for Quests that the face damage just snipes them off easily.
Handbuff Paladin - #8 Legend (BodyBuilder) - Wild S89
Yay! Handbuff’s back in Wild. Was getting bored of Odd Paladin.
Shadow Priest Returns: What’s the History of the Archetype and What to Expect From It in United in Stormwind?
This could be like Spell Damage Shaman and never really materialize. Doesn’t seem Machine Gun Priest strength level.
Shadow Priest Returns: What’s the History of the Archetype and What to Expect From It in United in Stormwind?
I am thoroughly interested to see how this affects Reno/Shadow Priest in Wild.
Raid the Docks
Maybe Blizzard thought it would too easy considering Bloodsail Flybooter. Then again…
Raid the Docks
Turn 1 Pirate Warrior: (in a perfect world)
Sky Raider->Parachute Brigand->Patches
Quest stage one done.
Turn 2: Sharkfin Fan-> attack to summon pirate 2.
Quest part two done.
Turn 3: Attack for another pirate from Sharkfin Fan, drop Bloodsail Cultist.
Turn 4: Trades where needed. drop Ship’s Cannon or Skybarge.
And then Rokara turn 5.
Royal Librarian
This is better for sure. That tradeable means you aren’t stuck with Silence in hand when you really don’t need it. Great tech card.
Battleground Battlemaster
Hmmm. Could see Handlock having a ball with this in Wild.
Turn 4: Mountain Giant
turn 5: This and 16 damage face.
Yeah me neither. Patch the patch?
