Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Darkmoon Faire Week 3 – December 2020

Demon Hunter. While it’s already been apparent last week, it became so obvious after the start of a new season. Everyone wanted to climb quickly, and then players usually use the most efficient decks. I’ve been facing 60%+ Demon Hunter over the last few days, and it’s really tiring at this point. The class is just doing too well right now and basically anyone you ask will tell you the same thing. It doesn’t really show on the list, because people don’t even share their Aggro DH climbs anymore – there’s just no point since nearly everyone hit Legend with it during the first few days (and pro players are mostly sick of the deck to the point of just trying something else instead).

We really need a balance update, but we haven’t heard from Blizzard in a while because of the whole Battle Pass debacle – I imagine that no matter what they do right now will be hated, but I feel like we really need a balance update. I hoped that we’ll see something earlier this week, maybe early next week, but I’m not sure about the latter. The problem is that World Championship happens a week from now, and releasing a balance update so shortly before it wouldn’t be great for the competition. So I’m afraid that we’ll have to wait until the week after tournament.

Other than that, the meta hasn’t really changed from the last week. Besides DH, Highlander Hunter, Control Warrior, Pure/Libram Paladin (again, pro players stay away from Pure version for some reason, but it’s REALLY popular outside of Legend), Miracle Rogue, Evolve Shaman… those are the other popular decks, basically the same ones we had last week. Which is another proof that we would really use a balance update to shake things up. A lot of decks simply can’t exist in the current meta because the meta is too aggressive – if you pick the wrong deck, it just gets eaten by Aggro DH, HL Hunter and such.

I wonder how the World Championship meta will look like, what decks players we’ll bring. We’ll have a full list of decks with results etc. available to you a week from now!

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.

“no matter what they do right now will be hated”
    LOL, you got that one.

    No matter what Blizzard said.
    No changes to BP:
Blizzard: “We feel that current BP has already giving better gold reward than previous system.
Players: “It’s still f**ing expensive, and why don’t you include TavernPass into $80 bundle?” Where’s our 10 gold per 3 wins?”

    Changes to BP:
Blizzard: “Regarding the Battlepass, we decided to change the whole Reward Track system to accomodate F2P more”
Players: “So it’s true that you LIED about the first BP giving more gold”

I guess they will be silent until the next mini set. And then people will realize they just lost another 2000-3000 precious golds to buy the packs.

” The problem is that World Championship happens a week from now, and releasing a balance update so shortly before it wouldn’t be great for the competition. So I’m afraid that we’ll have”

I’m pretty sure the above segment was left unfinished by accident, but it’s bizarrely humorous to think of it as Stonekeep running out of things to say and something in his mind just decided “screw it”.

A fun game would be “finish this Stonekeep thought”

I’m gonna guess ” The problem is that World Championship happens a week … So I’m afraid that we’ll have – a world championship that last about 45 minutes thanks to all the aggro decks”

Now that’s fun! I’m “happy ” to inform that you will be able to play it a lot, since it happens quite commonly. It seems to be a problem with WordPress (or at least the version we run) – if I hit the save button, sometimes it “saves” the version from a few seconds earlier, cutting the last few words. And then I often don’t realize and keep writing the next section.

In this case, I mean “I’m afraid that we’ll have to wait until the week after tournament” 🙂

Personally I liked to think of it as a meta comment. “So I’m afraid that we’ll have… nothing. Which is exactly what’s going to happen for the near and likely extended future due to Demon Hunter’s thing being consistent aggro, so I’m adding nothing after the word ‘have’. Ignore this blurb as a moment of silence for the “slowing down” that corrupted mechanics were supposed to give us.”

No one wanna discuss what’ll happen to the tournament itself?
(Me having a flashback of Duels Tournament filled with Anti-Blizzard spams.)

Oh yeah, World Championship is going to be a mess… I wouldn’t be surprised if they heavily moderated the chat and banned all the anti-Blizzard phrases.

I never watch streams with chat anyway, but still, RIP people who do, lol.
