Velen can be replaced with any 3 legendaries after you dust them to craft velen
I replaced Velen with Malygos
I saw Zetalot playying this list and I didn’t like what I saw. His first iteration without Velen was so much smoother to play, in my opinion. But I also see the point of including Velen for damage. That’s the biggest problem I have, when playing Reno Priest: pushing damage through is often enough hard. I recently switched to Reno Dragon Priest, and while I can push damage through some more, it feels like nothing compared to Combo Reno Lock.
Anyway, my vote for that list and the effort Zetalot puts into the class unconditionally. Thumbs up!
I’d prefer a list without velen and those dam inconsistent 1 of Dragon cards. At least there’s no dragons here

Nah just solid cards without hard to pull of combos. I think Nzoth + resurrect has potential
Deck is lieterally named “VELEN Priest” and people are asking about replacements for Velen. This community will never stop to amaze me (negatively).
This looks way better than a standard kazakus dragon deck, can’t wait to try it!

I think Elise Starseeker or Alexstrasa will be a good replacement for Velen

Not sure there is a replacement for velen in this deck, it rely’s upon the doubling effect to get the most out of the flash heal, darkshire alchemist + bronzebeard, justicar + hero power, embrace the shadow package. The deck kinda revolves around getting velen out and then doing obscene amounts of healing damage to the opponent.
It seems like velen is for healing…and controlling the board.
As if it was an OTK deck it would definitely include taurisian
