So I’ve noticed that Shaman now has so much Board Control becuase of the Reworked Lightning Storm, that now is the best time for Shaman to do a bit of everything when it comes to Control Value.

And with Y'Shaarj, The Defiler, this especially makes it a Core Card for Shaman’s Core Set, becuase of what you are aiming at; which is controlling the board so hard along with your spell damage, that your opponent’s minions are going to feel the dense pressure that you are focusing to much onto them. When played right, your Combo with your Board Control Spells and your Spell Damage Cards might as well become cheaper versions of Flamestrike, except you technically have about 5-6 on average of them depending on your play. (Plus an extra 1-2 becuase of Y’Shaarj generating another Dunk Tank )

Still, having 5 Flame Strikes and are cheaper should sound insane, and so much so that it might even completely shut down Aggro decks swarming up the place, as you build up your own minions, especially since they run out of gas, and their minions don’t have enough health to deal with THAT amount of board presence. Not even some of the Midrange Decks out that might not handle just how much Board Control you might be pulling off.

Now, This can very easily backfire becuase the deck itself is quite clunky, escpially when it’s trying to do a 2-in-1 Stredegy, but assuming that Shamans are still playing Evolve, and they don’t really start popping off up until even about turn 3-4, when they start to use evolve cards, I figured that while he’s waiting for his turns to really start up, he can do with some extra preparation, which is where the Spell Damage and Board Control Cards come from.

And yes, if the idea looks Braindead, it’s becuase the deck is meant to be.  But so braindead that it might just work.
