Effectively you can choose either or. You can either Heal your minion or take down the opponent instead. Or if you could go for an execute, too, if your opponent is low enough.
The Cost is fair for 4 Mana because it's trying to be the jack of all trades for you. However, I still think that others will claim it as 4 stars just because they feel iffy with the Corrupted Cost at first glance, and I get that too. It doesn't look nice at first, but trust me, I think you'll be fine.
