Mulligans

General Mulligans

To generalize your best mulligan cards, you basically want to aim for a bit of draw with a dash of control. So that you may find what you need in your deck as well as prevent their board from overpowering you.

Aggro Mulligans

These cards are the best options you have against any aggro deck. Obtaining your "Acolyte of Pain" early will help draw other options if needed.

Control Mulligans

Drawing is your best choice in a control match-up. Do not over draw, simply draw unless you have answers to what they might have at any time. Once you start your Val'anyr combo, ensure you have a way to summon "Spiritsinger Umbra" or "Saronite Chain Gang" / "Dopplegangster" to prevent a silence from shutting you down by creating multiple buffs.

The point of the deck is to overpower your opponent with constant Val’anyr buffs ultimately winning with either burst or large minions that stick. Applying the buff to “Saronite Chain Gang” and “Dopplegangster” allows for multiple buffs to be thrown into your hand because they duplicate the Val’anyr buff placed onto them to the copies they create. “Spiritsinger Umbra” only works on the card you played not the additional copies the two cards mentioned above will summon, therefor do not feel the need to save her for those cards instead use her anytime you manage a buff on a minion in hand. Silence should not be a huge issue so long as you can create multiple buffs as soon as possible, although a rogues “Vanish” will destroy you. Control everything early to mid that you can possibly afford. Just like any other combo deck, draw can be your worst enemy or your greatest ally.
