Thats probably exactly why. When one aggressive deck is the strongest other aggro decks will tech against them to try and be the strongest. Think back to druid and hunter running golakka crawler in MSoG meta.

Cloaked huntress is pretty fucking good, considering it makes some of your core cards cost 0, for cat trick you can probably just get professor putricide, if you can afford it

Play a different deck. You might not like it but it basically revolves around Secret synergy.

To be fair, those cards have one of the strongest power levels in the deck, and are pretty critical in making this deck good. If you don't have them try playing a more beast focused variant.

Great Deck! First time Legend with this deck! With the right start, this deck is faster than most aggro decks. Excellent curve. Ran though most control face-ups, especially against priest decks. Secrets and weapons keep the enemy at bay as you set up the board and your minions are hitting face.

Same ol' crap like other fringe decks. Gave this a try with a whopping 1-4 stats. And it's not like it's that damn hard to pilot.
Just so infuriating that these "sort-of-good-looking-in-theory" decks just feel sooo underwhelming when pitted against the top dogs...

I think that playing 5 games and calling the deck terrible isn't fair, given how this game works. Between matchup RNG, draw RNG and the fact that you don't know how to play the deck (sorry, but even the easy decks take more than 5 games to learn), this sample size is far from enough.
Playing off-meta, "fringe" decks has a specific reason. You usually use them to counter the meta you're facing. Those are rarely good in lower ranks, when people play basically every deck existing. But they're great at the "choke points", such as Ranks 3-1 (where people tryhard to get into Legend and usually play the same 2-3 top tier decks), or high Legend (similar reason).
If the deck didn't work, someone wouldn't hit high Legend with it. But the fact that the deck "works" under specific circumstances doesn't necessarily mean that it will work when played vs any meta.

ok, after playing with it a bit i found i kept running into taunt and legendary or large weapons (or Atiesh) so i added even more silence and weapon removal with a bit of burst damage for that final blow. switched the diremoles for iron beaks and the hydras for a harrison jones and a leeroy jenkins. i call it shush hunter lol.
