Mulligans

General Mulligans

Awaken the Makers should ALWAYS been in your opening hand, and should ALWAYS be your turn 1 play. Mulligan for 1/2 drops like Crystalline Oracle, Mistress of Mixtures and Loot Hoarder, as well as Power Word: Shield and Shadow Word: Pain for early survivability and removal.

Aggro Mulligans

Against Aggro, mulligan for early removal and anti-aggro tools like Shadow Word: Pain, Inner Fire and Tar Creeper.

Midrange Mulligans

Against midrange, your mulligan should be very similar to the general mulligan. Look for early, valuable cards to gain a card/tempo advantage over your opponent as early as possible.

Combo Mulligans

Against combo, mulligan for as many deathrattles as possible to complete Awaken the Makers as soon as possible, so you have that sweet, sweet 40 health to shut down combo/OTK decks.

Control Mulligans

Against control, you want the highest value cards possible as early as possible. Crystalline Oracle, Shadow Visions and Curious Glimmerroot provide extra resources to out-value your opponent, and Harvest Golem/Devilsaur Egg give sticky deathrattles that can be efficiently removed by most control decks.

Theory-crafted Spiritsinger Umbra/N’zoth the Corrupter deathrattle deck. Will be testing it out as soon as Un’goro launches.

Modifications:

-1 each of Crystalline Oracle, Mirage Caller, Shifting Shade and Tortollan Shellraiser/+1 each of Binding Heal, Radiant Elemental, Thoughsteal and Kazakus:

I decided to go ahead and make it a highlander deck with some extra spell synergy.

Possible modifications:

-1 Binding Heal/+1 Bloodmage Thalnos:

Card draw may end of being an issue, so I’m considering Thalnos over Binding Heal to help with that.
