Can someone explain to me the point of earthen might? I mean if it's as simple as +2/+2 for 2 on curve after your turn 1 totem then fine, I just don't see how it's more beneficial than a 2 drop of some sort without the elemental synergies (I understand al'akir is an elemental, mind you)

  Vicious scalehide, Al'akir, Argent commander and Corpsetaker are excellent targets for Earthen Might.

  if you loose board you loose game, only 2x hex for removal.
  earthen might helps you pick good trades, also curves out very well with your consistant 1 drop totem.
