Mulligans
General Mulligans
Mulligan for cards that help you fight for board control quickly, and play Commander Rhyssa when she's backed up by a couple secrets. Don't forget that your Hero Power is great here because you have many ways to quickly turn a 1/1 into a large threat.
This is a cheaper, functional version of the Meta deck, minus the Highlander element. This deck trades the powerful Highlander effects for an arguably superior build and more opportunity to take control of the board early on.
Additional copies of great cards like Beaming Sidekick and Crystology allow for a strong, consistent early game, and naturally help to set up a good board state. If this can be achieved, resolving a good Never Surrender! or a surprise Avenge can make things very difficult for the opponent.
Other great plays include getting Secret triggers while Commander Rhyssa is present, being proactive with Blessing of Kings, or simply grinding efficiently with the various creatures, weapons and the hero power.
Obviously Mysterious Challenger is a backbreaking 6-drop, bringing on average 3-4 secrets into play along with his 6/6 body. Resolving him with a pre-existing board state is generally a game ending play.
One could easily swap the Sandwasp Queen set for something else. They’re chosen to get bodies into play and improve the mana curve, but more specialized effects might better serve somebody else’s play style.
