Mulligans

General Mulligans

Silver vanguard is a card you always want from your oppening hand, same for shadowblade. Meat wagon is also good to be played at tempo but can also be usefull on latter turns, you can keep it but its not your priority. If you have kobold illusionist + silver vanguard in your oppening hand you may want to kick all your other minions from it. You never want charged devilsaur on your oppening hand.

Aggro Mulligans

Against aggro you should be more concerned about controling his board lossing the less life possible, big minions will come naturally on later turns. Always keep shadowblade and maybe mulligan for it. Always keep doomerang if you also have shadowblade it guarantees you a safe early game, in case you dont is up to you. Fan of knives can be meaningfull in some matches, keep it in those ones. Keep kobold and/or silvervanguard if they show, but dont mulligan for them.

Midrange Mulligans

Very general, only keep doomerang if you already have shadowblade. You can keep cold blod in case you already have meat wagon.

Combo Mulligans

You can go kobold illusionist + silver vanguard or alarm-o-bot/meatwagon + big minions. Choose the one you already have more cards. Depending the deck youre facing you may need shadowblade or/and eviscerate.

Control Mulligans

You can go the general mulligan in case both silver vanguard and kobold illusionist show. But there is a lot of control decks that wont do anything to a turn 3 alarm-o-bot so this can be a better strategy. This work better if you have the coin, and generally if your opponent cant kill the first alarm-o-bot it wont kill the second.

As many other recruit decks the point is to summon big high cost minions on earlier turns with the help of your other cards.
The idea of this deck is slighly inspired by dane’s wild big rogue.

Explanation on cards:

Silver Vanguard: this is the core card of the deck, 7 mana 3/3 recruit an 8 cost minion sounds pretty ordinary. But the point is to summon her for less mana, and this deck has many ways to do it. (Kobold Illusionist, Alarm-o-Bot, Meat Wagon, Army of the Dead).
Kobold Illusionist: this card is meant to combo with Silver Vanguard, summoning for 4 mana a 1/1 that recruits an 8 cost from your deck. You wont always be able to do this combo, but still kobold illusionist can synergise with other minions in the deck (being devilsaur your worst outcome).
Alarm-o-Bot: as this deck relies on very big minions wich can easily get stuck on your hand since the very start of the game, alarm-o-bot has a very high sinergy within it. Some may notice that alarm-o-bot even with high sinergies is not a good card, but it has a high chance to make games by itself, especially on slower matches. Alarm-o-bot is also on the deck to make Meat Wagon more consistent.
Meat Wagon: this card covers many purpouses in this deck, the most obvious one is to surprise a naive opponent with an alarm-o-bot by the end of his turn, though this may only work if played on curve. Doing this way can also serve just to pull alarm-o-bot off your deck in later game to improve your topdeck. That said if you play a Cold Blood on it, now it can also recruit Kobold Illusionist, Spiritsinger Umbra and Silver Vanguard wich are better than alarm-o-bot in later turns. This way it can also recruit your second Meat Wagon so i recommend not to play cold blood on your first one (unless you can or need to take the risk). Even with cold blood it can still recruit alarm-o-bot, but usually your game doesnt depend on what your meat wagon recruits. Now, with both cold blood it can recruit any minion from the deck, though i never needed to do that way.
The Lich King: 8 cost to recruit and also taunt. Death Coil can be very significative in aggro matches where your opponent can still damage your face from his hand. Army of the Dead, as half of the deck are minions, is a very strong tool, especially when your opponent just cleared your board. All other cards with the exception of doom pact are always usefull.
Violet Wurm: besides being an 8 cost to recruit, it also adds a lot of value to kobold illusionist. It also has good sinergy with Anti-Magic Shell.
Charged Devilsaur although being a great sinergy in recruit decks it adds a very high antisinergy with kobold illusionist, thus only one copy.
Doomerang: your best anti aggro tool in this deck, it requires you to have Shadowblade equiped or on hand, but you can see it as 4 mana 6 damage (or 3 + 3 to different minions) while only wasting 1 card (as your shadowblade ends as it was by the start of that turn).
Spiritsinger Umbra: its just for sinergies sake, sometimes she enables some crazy combos, like playing it before you get to summon a sivler vanguard. Sometimes its just a regular 4 drop.
Deranged Doctor: another 8 cost to recruit, its deathrattle can be very significative in aggro matches and can be used extra times via Kobold Illusionist and Spiritsinger Umbra.

replacements:

Spiritsinger Umbra: you can add another copy of Sprint or a Preparation.
The Lich King: maybe second Charged Devilsaur.
Charged Devilsaur: idk, maybe add Cauldron Elemental or Primordial Drake.
