Sees Odd Druid deck. Sees no Gloom Stagg. Feels Bambi, man.

It’s a beast, that destroys the witching hour synergy

Yes, I know. Still, sad that a card that was designed to be played in ONLY one archetyepe gets cut regardless, don’t you think?

It’s too bad that Baku isn’t a Dragon. More synergy with Dragonhatcher since you never want to play Baku from hand anyways and it would make Witching Hour a bit better in this list.

People here are being pretty dumb. Of course Grizzly gets resurrected by Witching Hour, the whole point is that you get a ton of 3/12s which is incredible against aggro. You don’t need infinite Hadronox in 99% of matchups above rank 20.

This is not an uberhaxx rank 1 legend deck, this is a deck Purple played on stream for fun.

Not to mention Baku is a beast so it messes up the witching hour alongside the grizzlys. Baku would become even more of a dead card than it already is. It looks great but that beast anti-synergy will mess you up more times than it won’t.

This is true but baku rarely even sees the board if so its one of the last drops here so it probably would seldom interfere.

Grizzly and Baku will only see the board in their respective situations. For Grizzly, you play it if you’re playing against aggro. You can cube it and stuff, may never need anything else against the aggro decks. For Baku, it means you’re running out of hand space and you’re winning already. You don’t get mad if your 3 mana spell pulls a 7/8 though, right?

That’s not true. Oakheart can pull grizzly from the deck. Which is kind of the point of having them there in the first place.

As for pulling Baku as a 3 mana, It’s not bad but the point of taunt druids is to consistently get hadronox to stall. Baku doesn’t help when you don’t control the board already.

Overall, this deck isn’t great. upgraded hero power is great for early game but late game you don’t have any finishers.

Update – started @ rank 6 with this list I’m 13-1 right now only to lose to big spell mage. After playing a few I see the reason grizzly is in this list … oaken is not intended to pull hadranox rather it’s a much better early play that sets the board for the match . Hadranox is much better leveraged in later game with cubes and witching hour after most of your taunts have already been pulled out. Seriously a surprisingly powerful list only downside I see is succepibility to skulking with a bunch of 1 drop spells in here other than that amazing . I’ll get to legend with this with ease at this rate

14 games and you haven’t experienced witching hour pulling something other than Hadronox?

I absolutely have , possibly the most annoying thing is hex / poly when it comes to that . This deck really needs to be played with patience and good timing I am keeping oaken in mulligan now it needs to be dropped early . If you can survive to 9 mana with a bit of ramp of nourish or sprites the Agro/ odd paladins don’t stand a chance. In fact the 3 odd paladins ive played were won by concession after oaken . Vs that deck I keep Agressively mulligan starfall/ oak

I guess to sum it up witching hour is by no means a win condition for this list with luck it really comes in handy surviving early , hadranox is just a lucky plus I wouldn’t save it for late game .

You’ve convinced me. I’ll test it out and see how it goes.

Test complete: Its not very good. Too slow for a not consistent late game. Plus there is no finisher to deal a lot of damage. You just have a bunch of mediocre taunts with low attack who cant deal enough damage.

I would try it again with new expansions though. turn two hero power is pretty great early game.

Witchwood Grizzly messes with reviving a Hadronox from Witching Hour. I know a 3 mana 3/12 is great, but getting a hadronox is better.
