This is a twist off of the regular control demon warlock deck, with the “special” additions being the Tar Lurker and the Master Oakheart, as well as 2 Amethyst Spellstones. The idea behind this is that turn 9 Master Oakheart is such a big tempo swing, and if your opponent manages to destroy all 3 minions, then Gul’dan comes out and creates another board.

Choices:

2 Kobold Librarian: This should be obvious, it’s probably the best card in the expansion.

2 Vulgar Homunculus: Again, pretty obvious. I’d also like to point out that the 2 attack pool for Oakheart is this, Librarian, and Mistress, so don’t always expect to get this.

2 Spellstone: For a control deck, I feel that this is a new staple. The upgrades can be triggered off of 7 cards in your deck, but even with only 1 upgrade the card is insanely good. Even if you don’t get an upgrade, deal 3 heal 3 still isn’t that bad.

1 Tar Lurker: Best, and only, 1 attack target for Oakheart. Pulling this in addition to 2 others is devastating, especially with the amount of health in taunts you are putting up.

1 Voidlord: Same principle as Tar Lurker, but better because it floats and it can be summoned back by Gul’dan. Of course, you could always pull a Farseer, but worst case scenario, you get a 3/3 with the other bodies, and if you are that concerned there’s other healing cards to play to make sure Voidlord is summoned.

1 Master Oakheart: Ah, the deck’s reason for existence. This beast of a card drives the deck and curves into Gul’dan. There are a lot of scenarios with him, but I’m just going to list the best one and the worst one.

Best: 5/5, 3/9 (deathrattle summon 3 1/3’s), 1/7 (on opponent’s turn, 4/7), and 2/4, all with taunt, and two are demons. That’s 11/25 in stats, not even including their effects.

Worst: 5/5, 3/3, 1/7 (on opponent’s turn, 4/7), 2/1. Even in the worst scenario, you still have 11/16 worth of stats without effects, which is an insane tempo swing. Actually, I lied, the worst would be drawing every minion in your deck except this card, but the probability of that is very low.

All other cards are pretty standard for Warlock. If anyone’s wondering why some of those are 1 of’s, it’s either because I needed room for the new cards, the extra copies weren’t doing much, or I just don’t have the dust to buy them (I am a f2p player)

If anyone has any advice or questions, please post them in the comments section. Thank you!
