I’ve been playing this deck for 30-40 games with about a 55-60 percent success rate against the current meta. I find that it NEEDS divine favor to replenish itself against the majority of decks. I also find more and more that smugglers run and grimestreet enforcer have less value than you would assume. I’ve dropped 1 of each in my deck and have since seen a WR increase. Still debating on which cards fill the slots the best though.
That depends on your definition of competitive. According to metastats this deck wins ~51% of the time. I think Kolento is a great player, but you can see from all the decks (Trump, Vlps, etc) that even the best players are struggling to make a viable pally deck. And while I agree this is probably the best deck so far… For people who felt left out of the party in MSoG because buff cards couldn’t cut it and were sure HS would be fun again with the new expansion… Surprise! Your cards are mediocre at best, the legendary is gimmicky/situational and your quest is essentially unplayable.
Depending on your rank (higher you are the larger the rate of pirate warriors will be)
High rank vs pirate warriors: Gluttonous Ooze – this is because it destroys their weapon and gives you armor. The armor somewhat replaces the healing you would get from wickerflame and mitigate damage (from their weapon) as well as a 3/3 body on a board to possibly remove at least 1 more minion.
Not a lot of pirate warriors? use consecration. wickerflame is a 2/2 with divine shield so if you aren’t up against pirates – consecration, which deals 2 to all minions, somewhat does a similar job or maybe even better.
