Mulligans

General Mulligans

Should be pretty self explanatory. Your biggest threat is getting overwhelmed early and these cards will always help you play catch up if behind and establish the board if you aren't.

Aggro Mulligans

Easy - 3 mana or less. If it deals damage, keep it. And ALWAYS keep Journey, even if you just hold it a bit until you know for sure what you need. Great combo enabler as well.

Combo Mulligans

Against combo you are looking to keep anything that generates early pressure, prioritizing minions over spells. Make them sweat!

Control Mulligans

Yep, you can keep expensive cards and get away with it. The value tied to these cards against control is almost invaluable. Other cards can be good depending upon the match up, i.e. Edwin against a non-Priest control deck, so keep those cards as you see fit as well.

What was at first a fun deck existing only in theory has turned into a decent deck to play. Cheaper minions and damage spells make the early game interactive, deathrattle minions making trades extend the game, and N’zoth cleans house, sometimes summoning a full house of Sherazins over Ayas/Jades. Shadowcaster is also an unsung hero. 1 mana 1/1 versions of Edwin/Sherazin/Vilespine Slayer are all too good to pass up. Journey is also very good, but that’s been discussed at length in the past already. Some might question the Perdition’s Blade, but it’s often like a third copy of SI:7 with charge. I recommend this for something a little different to shake things up a bit – pun intended of course.
